Very nice villa, best suited for 2 people. We travelled with a teenaged daughter and the villa manager was kind to have an extra bed set up for her downstairs . The staff are lovely, our daughter was turning 16 while we were staying and the staff made it outstanding for her by providing a cake and making her bed up a special way. I have arranged an airport pick up via a villa and we had a staff member waiting for us when we landed. Top service. Thank you team!

We liked everything. The only thing the villa is located along a very narrow street and is about 500m up climb to get to it from the main vein if you travel on foot. Was not an issue for us , but something to mention.

Need a tea towel in kitchen each day and hand towel in both bathrooms not just upstairs but it’s almost impossible to not love everything about the Kalias villas and these are very small things

Very quiet and private but close to the main strip.

Property was very clean and private. Quite near the Main strip with lovely little bars / restaurants on the road to the strip. Stag were amazing and very polite and made sure our stay was as good as it possibly could be .

Would have liked to have a light at the side of the property when you came in the gate as it was very dark at night.

All praises to Ketut and his team for a wonderful stat at The Kailash. The Villa is exactly how it is shown in the photos, super spacious with a clean pool. Staffs are well trained and breakfast was delicious on on time. Definitely my top choice for my next stay in Ubud. The only minor issue is that the Villa is about 500 meters from the main road and the road leading up is a congested lane which only allows 1 way traffic, so best if your mode of transport is a scooter which you can rent from the Villa,

To avoid!

- Nice and clean house. - Spacious. - Hot water, though limited.

- The construction work next to our villa made it impossible to sleep past 7:30 am. We were told it would start at 8, but the noises began much earlier. - The staff was rude and had an inappropriate behavior, which was the main issue we had with the place. On several occasions, a staff member entered our villa without asking, even when we were present. One time, I was not dressed (I’m a woman, and the staff were men). He saw me and instead of apologising and turning back, he proceeded to enter the same room as I was and clean our breakfast. I had to run to the nearest bathroom to hide and cover myself. We complained to management about the incident, and it was very shocking. - You have to choose your breakfast menu and time a day in advance, which is not convenient. On top of that, the staff brought us the breakfast earlier than what we asked and stamped on the door, waking us up. - They recommended a tour guide for an excursion that was not only more expensive than what we saw in town but also not very good.

The front gate of our Villa was broken and you could not lock it! That was a bit annoying but it is staffed until 11-30pm at night! The road to get there is a bit dodgy but that’s Ubud!

I was disappointed as we were in villa two which was not the same as photos. Villa 3 where our friends stayed was refurb

Lovely fluffy white towels, comfortable bed and friendly staff.

The pool was dirty and pavers had mould The shower tiles had black mould also. Tiled stairs to bedroom are steep and narrow. Our unit had a very very old aluminium ( which we just don’t use in nz) kettle to boil water but they did replace it with one slightly better non aluminium one which I appreciated.

The stuffs are super friendly! They cleaned the villa every day for us and everything is in good condition. We loved the breakfasts a lot!

Absolutely amazing!

Absolutely amazing start to our honeymoon, Ketut, Sudana and all of the team were wonderful and made sure our visit was as memorable as possible, helping us arrange our activities, transport and giving us recommendations of the area. If we’re ever back in Ubud this will be our first choice place to stay with it also only being a 10 min walk into the centre of Ubud.

The Kailas home away from home

Loved everything. From the airport pickup service by Ketut to the accommodation facilities the food and transportation services. Exceptional service by the whole team, delicious breakfast, comfortable and cosy accommodation, peaceful and private location, awesome and instant service by Ketut and Sudana. Location wise it was close to the centre but peaceful and private as well.

The pool and set up was wonderful. Our lovely young host couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. We really loved this place! Lovely breakfast. The balcony overlooked the city, which was intriguing and really felt like a true home away from home.

The long lane to get there is very narrow. The drivers are so wonderful they insist on getting you to the door (luckily the villas have a parking area), but it's pretty difficult for the drivers and our car got a ding. Temple gongs went until early hours of the morning. That said, I still loved it!

Great place to stay in Ubud

Located in the heart of Ubud, you can get anywhere from this location. The street leading up to the front is very narrow and small (like most streets in bali) so be careful when walking up to it if there are cars/motorbikes. Our villa came with a semi-private pool (it was only ours to use but it was not blocked off from view from the entrance so no swimming naked probably LOL) , a living room with a small kitchen and kitchen supplies (no microwave), a mini fridge, a master bedroom upstairs with a canopy for mosquitoes, and a bathroom with a tub and shower. The sliding doors to the villa were easily knocked off their track so it didn't feel super secure, but bali in general feels super safe and we did not have valuables in the room so we were not that concerned. The concierge was SUPER nice, and they gave us welcome drinks on arrival, made the bed everyday and when we arrive even set out really romantic flowers on the bed for us, with swan towels. They helped us arrange everything we needed and were very responsive to messages on whatsapp. Breakfast was included but I was surprised to be charged for the few sprites and beers we had in the fridge see how much we paid for the room, though it was very little. On our last day we had a floating breakfast in the pool which was gorgeously set up.

Outstanding Villa Manager, made our stay in the beautifully renovated villa near Ubud's attractions.

Sudana, the Villa Manager, was absolutely amazing. He went out of his way to make sure our stay was fantastic. The villa itself was recently renovated and situated in a great location, just a short 400-meter walk from Ubud centre, the rice fields, and the Monkey Forest. Despite its proximity to these attractions, the property remained peaceful and serene. Sudana took our breakfast orders, recommended daily activities, and adjusted the villa cleaning to fit our schedule. I won't consider staying anywhere else in the future.

Wayan was so helpful and accommodating he really made our stay comfortable. He rearranged the room to suit our needs and always served with a smile, if you stay here and he's looking after you you're in for a pleasant stay

Amazing!

We booked this room well in advance since it is popular. Having arrived at the villa (one hour earlier than we could go in the villa originally but it was not a problem) and the early reservation made was justified. The villa itself looks good and is clean and the private pool is an amazing feature. The location is quiet but at the same time close enough to the main street. You can choose at which time you want to have breakfast and they will bring it to your villa. Unfortunately we both got very ill due to Bali belly to the point that we had to go to the nearby hospital. We left everything behind in our rush to the hospital so our luggage was still in the villa. Sudana offered to bring our luggage to the hospital without a fee. My shoes were left outside and they were even neatly packed in a bag. The amount of care and effort Sudana put in to ensure we have a good time amazed us. Greeting us everytime, asking how our day was or what we were going to do shows just how friendly he is. If we are ever going back to Ubud, this will be the place we book!

Very comfortable, well equipped, private, nice pool, good bed, good breakfast, great staff

No insect screens on the doors. Despite previous comments re the nearest warung to the villa, Me Me’s - we found it sub par. Food was bland, they even ‘forgot’ that we had ordered one main (there were 2 of us!). Much better eateries further down the road.

Everything about the Kailas is exceptional. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and very clean. The outdoor areas have beautiful gardens and the pool area is also lovely. It is a 7 minute walk to the main street however this is quite nice as the villas are so quiet and peaceful. There are also nice restaurants on the street worth visiting. The breakfast is also amazing, delivered to your room daily so you can eat by the pool.

Exceptional

Our stay at Kailas Villas was absolutely wonderful! It was the first time for us in Ubud. Ketut picked us up from the airport and also drove us around the following days to all major attractions offering us the best advice and support. The staff at the villas are always eager to assist, always smiling and going extra miles to make our stay comfortable. We have reached after midnight, but still Sudana was waiting for us with welcome drinks .They can be easily reached on whatsapp and there is a 24hrs staff standby by the reception. We rented vila no 1 and it was exceptionally clean. The area around is quiet, but close enough to Ubud centre. We will def return to this villa and recommend it also to our friends.

Over this was our favourite place to stay. Property is very well maintained and the staff are all amazing. The pool is great and very deep! Everything was very clean. Easy access to Ubud centre. Despite how close it was to the centre it was very quiet and secluded away from the craziness.
