The property was great your abit on edge as you don’t want to upset the neighbours who are always watching the property the daughter is helpful but the family who run it are horrendous

House was returned immaculate and they said we would receive our deposit within 2 weeks , but they put in the incorrect name on the banking app meaning we wouldn’t ever receive it and it will bounce back to them and even asking them to do a banking trace saying we would pay the fee they wouldn’t do it ! Ignoring messages I would stay away !

It’s very hard to review this but I think my review is fair. The property is amazing. Space is great and the outdoor parts with places to sit and a bbq is a nice touch. We loved it. The property was very clean and very well equipped. Kitchen equipment, cleaning equipment dishwasher etc. was brilliant. Parking was good as well with a private driveway and some additional marked spaces. The location was great. Close to the town but far enough away to enjoy some quiet time.

When we booked we just booked three rooms. There is nothing on Booking.com to insinuate we in-fact booked two properties. When we booked booking.com explains you need to pay a €200 deposit when you arrive in cash. This was fine although after travailing to the ring for 15 years this was the first time we had been asked to do this. Day of arriving we receive a WhatsApp from the host asking us to pay €300. When I questioned this the responses were very direct that I was wrong and booking.com did not give us the wrong info. So after a few exchanges trying to explain this is not what’s on booking.com I just decided to pay. When we arrived we were met with the hosts daughter who was awesome. Explained everything and made sure we felt welcome. It was only at this point we were told the deposit is paid back after we leave and the property is inspected. We will get it back via bank transfer. They did pay us back quickly 2 days after we checked out but it did take my bank while to process it. Not there fault but a pain. The property is located around a number of properties who clearly don’t want tourists. When we arrived the lady across from the property came out and just stared at us for the entire time we were unloading the cars and for a good 30mins after the host left from showing us around. Nothing bad but just unsettling. The host told us if she speaks to us to call them as she had caused trouble in the past. We were also told not to use the balcony of the property after 9/10pm as the gentleman next to the house will call the police as the noise we would make will be heard in his property. It is good we were told this but it did make us feel like we were walking on egg shells a little during our stay. Granted the neighbours are out of the control of the property but it still I think is worth noting. I would not stay here again mainly because of the deposit money. This is a shame as it’s a great property.

Amazing villas in a stunning location, with fantastic views. Very short distance from Adenau, but out of the way from the main streets. More than enough space for personal items and also a large sitting area indoors and outdoors. The kitchen area was well equipped. Initial cost for the stay was unrivalled compared to properties of a similar size.

The description in the advert needs urgent updating in several places; • Damage deposit is shown at €200 on Booking.com. This is for the larger villa only. If you book the entire property the smaller villa is an extra €100, so €300 all together. I only found this out as I asked before arriving. (This is not the first time someone has highlighted this either) • Extra €10 for bedding per person. Not quite sure why that isn't included in the original price, as there is already a cleaning fee included. If someone doesn't want to pay the €10 would bedding really not be provided? • Extra €10 for towels per person - sleeps maximum of 6 so an extra €120 (for towels and bedding) ontop of damage desposit if the property is fully booked. • Grand total maximum extra to pay upon arrival = €420 in cash only • All above fee's are required to be made in cash on arrival, but the refund is issued via bank transfer meaning that the occupant loses out slightly on the exchange rate fees. • The property is made up of 2 separate villas for a maximum of 6 people - the first sleeps 2 and the other property houses 4 - not the quoted 8 • All of the rooms are single beds pushed together - there are no doubles. • Listing claims there are 2 sofa beds - this is not the case as they are regular sofas. Aside from money, the only negative experience we had during our stay was that the owner was informed by a neighbour that we were apparently noisy one evening during our stay. We weren't shouting, there was no loud music. We were merely having a drink on the balcony. Rather than speaking to any of us in person to even try and defend ourselves, I was met with a text message telling us we were leaving the next morning by 10am. Fortunately, it was our last day anyway. However, from the tone of the message I have a feeling we would have been forced to leave early had our stay been longer.

The views from the balcony are unreal. Location is fantastic for what we needed it for. Easy to find, less than 5 minute walk from shops.

I have no bad points.

Clean. Comfortable. Full facilities. When you get there you truly feel like at home, all is there at your disposal. Excellent location, a tad higher when you consider Adenau as such. The villa has an excellent garden, well looked after. The views amazing and unobstructed. We had stayed at several locations over the last 10 yrs in Adenau and this has become our no. 1.

All was fine. No drawbacks. Do not fully rely on Google routing, go the other way around for convenience. That was the owner who advised us the correct way.

Die Lage ist toll, sofern man kein Problem mit der Entfernung zum Ortszentrum hat. Für die Zufahrt sollte das Fahrzeug ausreichend Bodenfreiheit haben. Wir hatten App. 4 + 5 beide waren sehr umfangreich ausgestattet. Der Blick in die Ferne lädt zum Verweilen ein.

Vorweg gesagt: Wir haben bereits rund um den Globus verschiedenste Unterkünfte gehabt vom Einzelraum bei Privatpersonen bis hin zum 6* Sterne Hotel (auch jedes Jahr 1-2 Unterkünfte um die Nordschleife). Noch nie haben wir ein derart großes Misstrauen gegenüber uns als Gästen erlebt. Es werden Check-in 300€ Kaution in bar eingezogen, die man nicht beim Checkout wieder bekommt (in meinem Fall nach 4 Werktagen vorgemerkt) (es könnten ja erst Tage später Mängel entdeckt werden). Wir kamen staubedingt 20 Minuten später an. Als ich dies 2h zuvor höflicher Weise ankündigte, war das Unverständnis groß. Manche würden die Reaktion als Motzen bezeichnen. Als ob wir dafür etwas können. Vor Ort werden einem ein extra großes Regelwerk erläutert und welche Nachbarn wie schnell, bei zu lautem Verhalten, die Polizei rufen würden und mit wem es Streitigkeiten gäbe. Man hat sich gar nicht getraut die Wohnungen zu nutzen bzw. war es unbehaglich sich dort aufzuhalten, da man Angst hatte etwas falsch zu machen. Sogar das Besteck ist abgezählt. Dieser Eindruck war bei unseren Nachbarn, die auf dem selben Grundstück ebenfalls zwei Wohnungen gemietet hatten noch stärker. Tut mir leid, aber das sind doch keine Voraussetzungen sich als Gast willkommen zu fühlen und mal vom Alltag abschalten zu können. Dass 1 Tag vor Anreise noch der falsche Buchungszeitraum von den Eigentümern angenommen wurde und zu Beginn der Kommunikation offen der Frust darüber geäußert wurde, dass die Buchung über booking vor Bekanntgabe eines Events auf der Nordschleife gemacht wurde und der Preis jetzt viel zu gering wäre, sind ebenfalls Dinge, die ein "Geschmäckle" haben. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass manche Gäste sich daneben benehmen, aber alle unter Generalverdacht zu stellen ist unprofessionell.

Wir haben das Haus für einen 5 tägigen Aufenthalt gebucht. Schönes Gebäude von Außen mit einem guten Ausblick. Da ich die Gegend gut kenne, hatte ich bereits bessere Erfahrungen in anderen Unterkünften. Die Einrichtung des Hauses ist eher einfach und entspricht nicht unbedingt gehobenen Standards.

Es gibt zusätzliche Kosten. Die habe ich hier mal gelistet: Handtücher pro Person pro Tag Bettwäsche pro Person pro Tag Pauschale für Haustiere pro Tag Wir haben auch negative Erfahrungen in den Tagen erlebt. Zwei Schlafsofas waren leider so extrem unbequem, dass wir entschieden haben, ein anderes Hotel für zwei Freunde zu buchen, aber haben trotz dessen die Schlafsofas bezahlt. Im Nachhinein wurde uns unterstellt, das Schlafsofa beschädigt zu haben, obwohl wir es nicht genutzt haben. Leider wurde daraufhin die Kaution i.H.v. 300€ nicht zurückerstattet. Es gab unterschiedliche Auffassungen zwischen uns und der Vermieterin, was die Kommunikation deutlich erschwert hat.
