About this cottage rental
Charming one bedroom (for two), one bath cottage is nestled in the trees with large, sunny front and back yards, deck and parking on a quiet, dead-end road. Conveniently located 5 miles outside of Margaretville (supermarket, shopping, restaurants, antiques) and Hannah Country Club, a public golf course is just down the road.
We currently are requiring a 28 NIGHT MINIMUM at a 45% discount.
Normally we offer a 20% discount for full 7 day weeks. We have been renting this cottage for nearly 20 years with rave reviews, but are new to VRBO.
Skiing and snowboarding is just 10-15 minute drive to Bellaeyre Ski Area or Plattekill Ski area, as well as many cross-country trails.
Other seasonal features of the area are: hiking, fishing, antiquing, tubing on the Esopus, mountain biking, kayaking, horseback riding, country auctions, Shephard Hills Golf Course, Delaware & Ulster Railroad tourist train, musical/theatrical events at The Roxbury Arts Group, and Belleayre Music Festival: www.belleayre.com Also check-out: Margaretville.net
Summer attractions include Farmers Market (May-October) at the round barn located about 1 mile from the cottage. They have great produce, organic meat, wonderful desserts, artisanal cheese and local crafts--or go for breakfast and hang-out. It's got country charm at every turn. There's even an accordion player to top it off.
There is access to local swimming in the East Branch of the Delaware River right outside the village of Margaretville and at Belleayre mountain.
