Dove’s Perch is an efficiency studio situated in the southwest corner of the property and often drenched in the warm glow of morning sun. Furnished with family antiques and mementos, it makes for a sweet and cozy home away from home. The bedroom is wrapped in soothing lavender color, and along with a comfy queen bed promotes a wonderfully restful night’s sleep. The sitting room is a separate space with armchairs for reading, a hostess bar (with small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and dishware), and a dining table for two.
Dove's Perch is one of two units in Robin’s Nest Boarding House, which is just five minutes from the heart of Port Townsend. Infused with color, the style integrates the casual elegance of the past with the contemporary comfort of the present. This is the perfect place for travelers who are looking for a modestly priced, spotlessly clean and restful place to lodge.
We are located on top of Castle Hill, near the century old and reportedly haunted Manresa Castle. It's a short walk to see some wonderful views of the Port Townsend's historical skyline. Uptown and downtown are both 1.7 miles east and Fort Worden is just 2 miles to the north. The total radius of Port Townsend is a little over 9 miles, so everything is close by.

The property is well located and clean. Things we didn't like: Steep stairs up to the rooms- I think not indicated on the description. Kitchenette: is simply an unplumbed closet with no sink. There are a few dishes, but in order to wash any of them they'd need to be taken to the bathroom and washed in the small bathroom sink. Chairs: There are no comfortable chairs or sofas to sit on; only 4 straight chairs in the "living area." We never saw the host; just sent her a text as requested when we left. Would not choose to stay there again.
