We enjoyed our time in Fontvieille, the house is well situated a few minutes walk to the centre of the village and within easy driving to the coast and country.

We did not stay in the property we had booked as Michael offered us his own home as an alternative (there was construction work happening on a property nearby the one we had booked and the owner was concerned that the noise would be a problem for us). The house we stayed in was beautiful with great facilities and many collectibles belonging to the owner. The only problem for us was that it was a further distance from the village centre which was too far for us to walk in the heatwave experienced at the time. We are in our 70’s and had specifically booked the original property as it was easy walking distance to the supermarket, restaurants, cafes.

Alles bestens

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr schön und praktisch. Es ist ein altes Haus von 1740 und sehr liebevoll restauriert und mit schönem kleinen Garten davor. Hier merkt man die Hitze nicht so sehr, weil Bäume diesen Garten beschatten. Fontvieille hat angeblich nur 3500 Einwohner, doch ist es ein pulsierender Ort mit sehr vielen gastronomischen Angeboten, Post, kleineren Geschäften, Bäcker, Spar, Intermarché und vor allem strategisch sehr günstig gelegen. Im Umkreis von max. 1 h Anfahrt erreicht man für Touristen sehr viele interessante Punkte: Camargue (St. Maries-de-la-Mer), Arles, Avignon, Nimes, St. Rémy und vieles andere. Eigentlich wollten wir wandern gehen und ab und zu Kultur genießen. Doch durch die große Hitze zwischen 30 und 36 ° C schon in der Zeit 24.06. -29.07.2022 sind wir vor allem in vorgenannte Ortschaften/Städte gefahren und haben Museen besucht und das südländische Flair auf den Märkten genossen. In schattigen Gassen lassen sich auch die hohen Temperaturen ertragen. Es war alles in allem ein sehr erholsamer und sehr interessanter Urlaub. Ach ja, direkt gegenüber vom Quartier befindet sich der Intermarché, der montags bis sonntags (dann nur am Vormittag) immer geöffnet hat. Der provencialische Wein ist auch sehr zu empfehlen!

Das Objekt bietet alles, was für einen längeren Aufenthalt benötigt wird. Es gibt eine Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer für die wärmeren Nächte. Etwas störend war der morgendliche Anlieferverkehr vom Supermarkt gegenüber (teilweise um 4 Uhr) - den man im vorderen Schlafzimmer bei geöffnetem Fenster hören konnte. Ansonsten verlief der Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber reibungslos und die Lage ist toll und der Ort sehr einladend-charmant.

Superbe séjour dans ce joli village avec tous les commerces nécessaires, beaucoup de visites pouvant être réalisées à pieds, et à proximité des grandes villes. La maison est très charmante , une propreté irréprochable et un calme absolu, une jolie terrasse extérieure ombragée vient compléter ce lieu , maison présentant tous les équipements indispensables au quotidien . Votre hôte saura vous accueillir avec gentillesse et bienveillance, vous ne manquerez de rien. Elle est idéalement située pour visiter les plus beaux sites des Alpilles et le centre du village de Fontvieille est accessible très rapidement. La terrasse et le petit jardin sont vraiment très agréables car ombragés, la maison en pierre permet également de rester au frais! Nous recommandons vivement cette location !

Nous avons eu un coup de cœur pour cette jolie maison ancienne de village nichée au fond d'une allée arborée. Elle a été rénovée avec soin par Michaël. Elle est proche de tous les commerces. Et pour les amoureux de la randonnée il y a de très belles balades à faire à proximité. Michaël est très sympathique. Merci pour son accueil attentionné.
