The Kastanienbusch vacation apartment on the upper floor is accessible via a steep, old but well-maintained wooden staircase. The carefully selected dark hardwood floors and the slightly abstract paintings create a subtle, modern atmosphere that complements and accentuates the charm of the old building. On warm summer days, the balcony offers plenty of space for cozy evenings with a view of the typical Palatinate vineyard landscape.
In our former winemaker’s estate, you’ll find four vacation apartments with an extraordinary interior design style, shaped by our many years of work in Africa and Asia. Two beautiful, quiet, spacious courtyards with sandstone walls invite you to linger and relax. Numerous restaurants and wine bars are within walking distance. We’re centrally located near hiking and mountain biking trails.
As our guest, you’ll receive the Pfalzcard—a fantastic pass granting access to around 130 recreational activities in the Palatinate. With it, you’ll enjoy free admission to castles, museums, swimming pools, and attractions such as SEA LIFE in nearby Speyer. Wine testings, golf without a green fee, and much more are also included. For those who don’t have the Deutschland Ticket: public transportation is free as well. We have fantastic connections within the VRN area by bus and train—even just a bus ride to the small wine villages is an experience in itself! On-site costs: Our guests receive the Pfalzcard. This allows you to enjoy free use of public transportation as well as attractive discounts at various venues such as museums, swimming pools, movie theaters, and more. Use of our guest bicycles is free of charge. The same applies to our washing machine and dryer. Free Wi-Fi is also available to our guests. A guest refrigerator is available for your use in the courtyard. We charge an additional fee for dogs. Please let us know if you’re bringing a dog. Advance notice is required, especially for the “Weinrefugium.” Please note: A steep, somewhat narrow, enclosed wooden staircase leads to the Kastanienbusch apartment. Cancellations made up to 60 days before arrival are free of charge. After that, 80% of the total amount will be charged. Depending on the season, we have a minimum stay of 3–5 nights. Please contact us directly if you’d like a shorter stay.
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to midnight, and check-out from midnight to 11:00 AM.
