Hård sängmadrass

It was such a beautiful quaint little place to stay and the owner was so responsive and very helpful. We loved this place.

We loved everything about the property but just one catch - on booking.com it says parking is included and while there is parking available it’s not included in the accomodation. We parked for free at the train station and walked into the old town which worked for us? But just don’t assume you will get parking near the apartment. Parking at the train station was fine for us though.

A lovely quirky property in the heart of the old town. Not the easiest to find perhaps as its a bit of a labyrinth of narrow streets and lanes, but where its in a quiet street just a short walk from the restaurants and bars of Polignano old town. Apartment is clean, well maintained and has most things one would need for a stay, albeit cooking and washing facilities are limited (there are a couple of launderettes in new part of the town). The building is on 4 levels - entrance hall, bedroom with en suite on floor 1, Kitchen/diner/bathroom floor 2 and roof terrace on top.

I feel bad pointing this out as its as its pretty unavoidable due to the nature of the building, so regard this as advisory rather than a criticism. The staircase connecting the floors is narrow, steep and in some parts not high either so some caution required when using stairs. Could be really difficult to navigate for someone with any mobility issues. Shower could be temperamental sometimes too

Nice terrace with good view. Authentic, cute little house. Very central location (too central....). Very responsive host (via WhatApp).

It was incredibly noisy at night since it is on one of the busiest alleys in the old town and has no double windows. It would be great for people who want to party but not for anyone who wants to sleep before 2 - 3 a.m. The air conditioning remote control does not work and there seems to be just one setting, which has to be set manually by climbing on the bed and is too cold. The A/C fan, which could cover up some of the street noise, also does not work, nor does the elevator (which was not advertised in any case). The kitchen is OK but is missing some items (notably large enough cups for coffee and a microwave oven). The shower head attachment is broken, so it is hard to shower. The ground floor room serves little purpose since it is dark and there is no TV facing the sofa. The TV in the bedroom is tiny.
