Le Charles V

My stay was exquisite. The property is beautiful and really feels like a home away from home. Nadia and her husband are the quintessential hosts, with their warmth, attention to detail, and readiness to help if you need it. It's been a hot summer, and having access to a pool was perfect! Each room has air conditioning too. Beds and pillows are comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious. The wine tasting was exceptional, with a variety of regional red and white wines to taste, and the fact that they're involved in the winemaking process made everything all the more personal. You can request to eat dinner there, and that was really one of my favorite things. Nadia is a great cook! The food was wonderfully prepared with generous portions. Other guests joined as well and it was a wonderful evening connecting with people and hearing their stories. I loved that cell phones were left behind and we could all be present in the moment. Normally, a property like this is a lot for my budget but I decided to indulge myself and I'm so glad I did! There are great reviews for a reason and everything is as lovely as it is in the pictures. Don't wait another second to book this place! I would love to come back.

The hotel is beautifully restored and appointed with private parking. The courtyard has a lovely pool. Our room was blissfully cool in this heatwave and all amenities were high quality especially the toiletries. The bed was very comfortable. Nadia and Michel-Henri were the most generous hosts and made us feel very welcome. I would urge anyone to book the table d’hotes if available as it made our stay feel more like a stay with friends than a hotel stopover. The wine tasting which is included in your stay was informative and enjoyable. Le Charles V is a product of love and hard work and it shines through everywhere. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
