Welcome to Mountain Trail Retreat from iTrip Austin, a huge vacation home with an Amazing View, Pool, Pickleball Court and two spacious decks!
This 4500sqft home nestled on the hillside above stunning Lake Travis is the perfect home for your family (or multi-family) vacation! You’ll have enough room to travel with the entire family or a big group of friends! This house has 5-bedroom, 4 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 levels with spacious decks, a pickleball court, and a swimming pool. Space for everyone.
Your options are almost limitless! Imagine…. drinking your morning coffee from the upstairs deck (or maybe you’d prefer to be downstairs – multiple decks to choose from). Spending the day swimming in and lounging by the private pool. Playing a game of pickleball on the court. Grilling fresh fish at the outdoor bar. Watching the sunset from the upstairs deck. Roasting marshmallows over the firepit. Serenade your friends on the large piano in the entryway. This house has everything you could ever need for the vacation of a lifetime. (please note: Pool is open from April - October, closed November - March)
Upstairs you will find a huge kitchen amply stocked for your dinner needs, and a large dining table looking directly out to the beautiful water of Lake Travis. The master bedroom includes lake views and an en-suite with a deep soaking tub and standalone shower. The 2nd bedroom upstairs has a queen size bed and lake views. A formal living room completes the indoor portion for the main floor.
Downstairs you will find a 2nd kitchen, full-size washer & dryer, 2 bathrooms, multiple rooms and beds-galore! The layout of this home is ideal for multiple families traveling with children – adults upstairs and the kids down.
Part of the charm of this house is the location - nestled in the trees / hills. With this environment, there may be times when outdoor critters find their way inside, include scorpions and other insects, even with quarterly pest control. Be on the lookout for 'intruders' but understand that this will not be cause for any type of refund.

Check-in was seamless and we were wowed by the views and beautiful home. The kitchen lacked some basic essentials: minimal utensils, and no baking sheet or grill pan or mixing bowls.

This place has a great view of the lake! It really does have the potential to be a spectacular place to crash for the weekend. I still would recommend staying here if the level of cleaning and prep was stepped up. The pool towels and bath towels were set up nicely on each bed and the host was available all weekend and responded relatively quick. The only downsides I encountered were the pool (although said to have been cleaned) had a bunch of sand in it, there was mold on some beer cases that were left in the kitchen cabinets, some rat poop in one of the kitchen drawers, the hottub water level was low when we got there which effected the jets, the smoke detectors were missing ( which we didn’t mind because the smoke from cooking would have set it off probably), the grill outside had a bunch of rust on one of the grates sections, and the fridge was a little dirty upon arrival (nothing terrible though), the outdoor trash bins were still full when we got there so we had to put our trash on the ground next to it. They did leave us a complimentary bag of ice which was nice.

The place was as advertised and really well cleaned and prepared for guests. Plenty of room for many cars to park and plenty of beds for people. The pool was supposed to be ready but wasn't, and the property manager never responded to multiple outreach attempts; though they did respond quickly when we asked a question before our stay. All in all, a great place to stay on Lake Travis.

I booked this house for my fiancé's 30th birthday and wish it was better upkept. It was the only house available so I had to book it regrettably. I read the negative reviews and thought maybe the property management would have taken these into account by the time we arrived, but they did not. Everything said in past reviews were still an issue. There was bath products and soap for our use but no bath towels in the entire house. We had to use pool towels that were in one bedroom downstairs (nothing upstairs). The house says to clean when you are finished, but there are almost no cleaning supplies to be used. There are two ovens, but only one worked. The hot tub was dirty when we arrived, so I asked it to be cleaned and although I was told it was cleaned again that evening, it did not happen. For the price of the house I would ABSOLUTELY look elsewhere. The house is much to expensive for what you get. The views are great and the balcony is awesome. It is unfortunate that the house is not kept up better.
