The owners, Carla and Chris, were great hosts. The atmosphere in the guest house is relaxed and friendly. The food is absolutely incredible. The rooms are large, well equipped, and quiet. Carla alerted us when our ferry to the mainland was cancelled and provided useful advice in rejigging our travel plans. If you are travelling to South Uist, I think this would be the best accommodations you will find. Highly recommend.
Everything was great. I don't have any criticisms or anything to suggest for improvements.

Grianaig is top of the range. To get this excellent quality of accommodation, support from hosts, and outstanding food in a location which must bring its challenges to owners,---it is amazing. We very much appreciated Chris's initial tour of the facilities, guidance on local wild life( golden eagle gave a brilliant display!), and advice on visiting Kildonan Museum ( which we might have otherwise missed). Excellent shower. And there was a lovely friendly atmosphere which encouraged chats between visitors. Great range of drinks in honesty bar.

Carla and Chris are exceptional hosts. The place is warm, homelike, with every possible need looked after. Their service is flawless, the cooking unbelievable and the scenery spectacular. I can't image ever wanting to stay anywhere else in the Outer Hebrides.
The ferry service made leaving a challenge, but if you are prepared, it can be dealt with. Bring extra clothes and medicine and you will be fine.

Everything about this guest house is so very well planned. There is nothing awkwardly placed or dysfunctional. It’s a five star facility including, maybe especially- because of its operator Carla. She assisted in solving a problem that I’d grown frustrated trying to solve on my own. Dinner was prepared and served by an exceptional chef. The price is reasonable at that!
