About this house rental

Located in SLO's Old Town Historic District, featuring beautifully restored Victorian and Craftsman homes, this two bedroom Craftsman is less than a 5 minute walk to downtown shops/restaurants/nightlife. Despite its central location, the house is situated on a quiet street without heavy traffic. The property includes a private yard with a large (8 person) hot tub and grill.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for gourmet or casual cooking. The living room features a flatscreen TV, HD DirecTV, and full sized sofa. Each of the bedrooms features a very comfortable queen sized bed (1 sleigh bed and 1 brass bed). There is also a desk in the primary bedroom. It’s a cozy little house ideal for families or friends. As it is an older home, it has its quirks! A couple things to be aware of: 1. the water pressure in the shower can be low. Avoid running other water during shower time. 2. If you choose to use the window AC, avoid also using other appliances as it will trip the fuse.
Please note, the driveway is our neighbor’s and cannot be used for any reason. Parking is available on the street and can sometimes be a challenge, especially on Thursday nights due to farmers market downtown.

Short walk to downtown SLO. House met our needs, but the shower had little to no water flow. Plenty of water came out of tub spout, but when switched to shower, the pressure/flow was very poor. You couldn't take a proper shower. It wouldn't have been a big deal except there was only one bathroom. Reached out to owner who just confirmed that pressue is low.

This house has a great yard, comfortable beds, and room for dog beds. Walking distance to downtown, close to other shopping (Trader Joe, Vons) and various restaurants. The neighborhood has a lot of interesting houses to see while walking your dog(s), and the neighbors are friendly. Kitchen is average, with basic/minimal pots/utensils. Street parking only, which was not an issue for us but potentially could involve a short walk. We plan to stay here again !

This property had everything my family of 4 plus a pup needed. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook, house was clean, beds/living room comfortable and the hot tub was a treat! The location was a huge perk it was a short walk to top notch coffee shops and dining downtown. It was so great to have a washer dryer, no huge piles of laundry after our trip! This cozy house was just the right size for my cousin and I visiting the SLO area. Very clean, comfortable couch and beds and stocked kitchen in case you want to cook. My family and I enjoyed our short stay in Karin's cozy but spacious home. Beds were very comfortable and you have all of the amenities you need. We especially loved how convenient the location was. It's just a short walk to downtown SLO with great restaurants and shops. One thing to note in the summer is that it can get quite warm in the house during the day. I'd recommend keeping the shades closed throughout the day. The water pressure in the shower is also a bit weak if that's something that's important to you. Overall, very lovely place and would stay again.

My husband, mother-in-law and I stayed here recently for a family wedding nearby. It was the perfect place for us. The two bedrooms were clean with ample storage and comfortable beds. The bathroom had double sinks, which made sharing easier. It also had an amazing backyard oasis and was within easy walking distance of Downtown SLO. I would highly recommend this property.

Loved everything about my stay here for my son’s wedding. Everything is so nice, clean and beautifully appointed AND the location is just blocks from downtown! The backyard was so peaceful to enjoy some good conversation with family and a glass of wine (which was waiting for us when we checked in☺️) It really does have everything you need. What a lovely cottage! Heated bathroom floor and toilet seat. Great air circulation from front door to back door. Comfy beds and nice size backyard with jacuzzi. Nice kitchen with full size stove, fridge, with washer and dryer. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to the park and stores. Dog friendly area too! This is a wonderful and quiet location within a few blocks to the restaurants and shops in cute older SLO. You need to park in front but there was always plenty of space. The house was perfect for us with both front and back porch areas for sitting. The kitchen was well stocked and the owners had provided some thoughtful extras like a bottle of wine. They quickly responded to any questions. From this house it was an easy drive to hiking on the coast and to many wine tasting events and a concert at Cal Poly. A wonderful place for fun and relaxing.
