Full of character and what we expected. Good location for Windermere.
If you want quiet this is not the place to stay. Very near the main road with constant busy traffic. The outside could do with some attention. Would have been nice not to see uncared for or dead plants in pots. No tools for the BBQ so that was a shame.

Nothing.
Where to start?
Overlooked by two houses, one only 10ft away, second about 30ft away but higher up overlooking the small (single car park size) outdoor area.
Only door to caravan doesn't close properly, has to be lifted and jarred into place. When done from the outside the pinlock and door handle mechanism come away from the door by more than an inch. If not jammed into place the door isn't secure also allowing wind and rain in. As this is the only door this is very dangerous, one exit which doesn't work safely?! No fire extinguisher or fire blanket available?! Not exactly secure if you leave.
Kitchen? It's a small microwave, small sink, small fridge (only capable of holding about 1/4 of a standard shopping bag) a kettle and small prepping area. No cooker apart from a portable BBQ about 12" in diameter. Lack of equipment, 3 forks, 4 knives, 4 table spoons and 4 tea spoons.
Toilet and shower are tiny, shower only gives hot water for 3-4 mins then you wait 15-20 mins for hot water. Same if you use the sink.
Cleanliness? Thick black and green mold on outside table, windowsills are covered in dirt and dust throughout. Haven't been cleaned for a long time? Bare in mind the bed is adjacent to the window.
This caravan is not of quality and certainly doesn't work for anyone over 5' 10". I'm 6' 2" and my partner is 5' 6" - even she felt claustrophobic. Total rip off at half the price. Can't rate it low enough.

The quirkiness, magical stay
Main road location so traffic noisy until late at night and again early morning but not used to any noise at niight so probably wouldn't bother others.

Lovely vintage airstream caravan in a lovely setting just a short walk from the 2 nearby villages of Staveley and Ings. Gillian, the host was lovely, very helpful and always available for any queries.
The airstream was ready upon our arrival with teabags and coffee in the cupboard and milk, juice and ice in the fridge. There was a lovely outside area with a small deck, table and chairs and fish. It was nice that blankets were supplied for sitting outside if it got a bit chilly.
What’s not to like? If I was being picky, the hot water doesn’t last long as it’s only a small tank but we we’re told about this and spaced out our showers accordingly. If you’re tall you might struggle to close the toilet door but not really an issue.

Unique; very aesthetically pleasing and well kept airstream. Star projector above the bed was a very nice touch!
Clean; the place smelled very nice, and you could just tell no corners are cut with the upkeep.
Comfortable; very comfortable overall considering it's an airstream.
Extras; fresh local milk, diffuser with a lot of different oils to choose from, lots of games to choose from and plenty of high quality toiletteries.
Overall amazing experience and the host was lovely too.
Curtains unfortunately did not block out any sun and did not fit the windows fully, perhaps this was part of the aesthetic the owner wants, but it allows sun right onto the bed at 5-6am.
Hot water for the shower unfortunately ran out after 1 minute on our first day there. We managed it better the next day, but we were doing a fair bit of hiking and sight seeing so not being able to have a proper shower was a slight let down. The host did warn us.

Lovely caravan inside and out, comfortable and cosy, everything you need, lovely private screened garden with seating and fish!
The noise from the main road which the house and caravan were set back from, it didn't spoil our stay in any way but I didn't realize it was so close.

The accommodation- and host- were both lovely! Gillian made sure we were comfortable and that we had plenty of tea and coffee in the cupboards- as well as fresh milk and butter in the fridge. The BBQ was perfect for us and the private garden was lovely.
