Worst stay in 42 years of traveling

I rarely write negative reviews but feel remiss not sharing my experience with others considering this property. I attest my review is truthful. If you are hoping for a peaceful night sleep, this is not the place for you. A train line is right next to the building and freight trains barrell through every 5, 10, 20 minutes all night long. I've lived in NYC and Beirut, have traveled for 42 years and even with noise cancelling headphones on top of ear plugs, got roughly 4 hours sleep in two nights. As other guests have commented, the shower is very open causing water to spray outside the shower, creating a potentially hazardous situation and falling below an excepted standard of care. Entrance to the apartment is via three flights of stairs, one very steep and narrow with access to the light switch only at the top, again a breech of care. Gaining entrance is time consuming and confusing with a gate code, code to get the transponder, various ways to open the doors. Shoes must be left at the bottom of the stairs however the door to this entrance was always unlocked or open during my stay.(not by me). No bathroom amenities accept soap and scant offering apparently left by former guests. Instructions and local recommendations at apt only in German.

Dank nächtlicher Sperrung des Zugverkehrs war der Aufenthalt sehr ruhig und angenehm.
Relativ nahe zum Bahnhof, sauber und geräumig. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Viel Stauraum. Sehr ruhig, aber nur, weil die Züge während der Nacht wegen Bauarbeiten nicht gefahren sind.
Wie in vielen Kommentaren schon erwähnt: das Duschen ist nicht ganz einfach, ohne alles nass zu machen, aber machbar. Bei der Ankunft brauchte es zwei Telefonate, um in die Wohnung zu gelangen. Details: ein Duschmittel sollte zur Verfügung stehen. Geschirr etwas knapp bemessen.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und gut ausgestattet.
Überall in der Wohnung hängen Zettel mit Anweisungen, wie man sich verhalten soll. Ich bekam sogar eine WhatsApp, weil ich in der Nacht vergessen hatte, das Treppenhaus Licht auszuschalten.

das mit dem Frühstück entfällt, da es eine Ferienwohnung ist, man hat aber alles, was man benötigt, um sich dort selbst ein schönes Frühstück zu machen; Edeka/Bäcker ist 5 min zu Fuß

Nie wieder!
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und der Bahnhof sind gut zu erreichen.
Das kleine Einraum-Apartment ist im zweiten Obergeschoss unterm Dach gelegen und wird im Sommer entsprechend warm. Durch die direkte Nähe zu den Gleisen ist besonders bei geöffneten Fenstern keine Abkühlung oder Ruhe möglich. Die Fernbedienung zur Klimaanlage ist eingeschlossen und wurde uns erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen ausgehändigt. Das Bad ist sehr beengt und für Personen über 1,90m die Dusche nur gebückt zu benutzen. Das es keine Duschtür gibt, werden zudem alle Gegenstände im Bad nass. Im gesamten Apartment liegt Holzboden der sehr anfällig für Wassertropfen oder Kratzer ist, so das man sehr vorsichtig beim Ausräumen der Spülmaschine, dem Kochen o.ä. sein muss. Ansonsten gibt es im Anschluss der Reise ärgerliche Diskussionen mit der Vermieterin. Im gesamten Apartment hängen Infozettel, was den Gästen alles verboten ist. Sehr unerholsam!
