Duft der Putzmittel war sehr dominant. Spülmaschine ging kaputt, kann passieren. Kleine Wiedergutmachung in Form von Schokie, Wein oder was auch immer wäre schön gewesen.

Für ein Wochenende im Rheingau sehr gut geeignet. Sehr schöne Ausstattung und Möblierung.

Die Terrasse an der Wohnung ist etwas dürftig. Kein Sonnenschutz, keine Liegestühle. Sie lädt nicht zum Verweilen ein. Zum Erreichen der Wohnung muss man eine große Höhe über eine Stahltreppe erreichen. Schweres Gepäck würde ich da ungern hochschleppen.

This was a lovely, quiet apartment on the edge of a lovely, quiet village. It was well-equipped and its decor and equipment were modern and in good condition. It was spacious, the big bed was comfortable and the bathroom was attractively presented. It was excellent value for money. The wine fridge was great, and communication with the property before our stay was excellent. The Rhine is within easy reach and the countryside is attractive and filled with fields of vines. We were there to attend a concert at the stunning Kloster Eberbach monastery. This was within walking distance through the fields, though we booked a taxi to get back as it was going to be dark when the concert ended and this would have necessitated walking along unlit roads to return. There is a bakery about 800m. away which is open for breakfast, and there is more than one restaurant in the village. We visited 'Zum Krug', which was a little pricey, but was gorgeous and worth the money (one needs to book). There is also a much more cheap and cheerful outlet down by the Rhine which serves simple food and local wines. There are pretty half timbered houses in the village and a beautiful church. It has a railway station, but in 2026, the whole line is closed and a series of replacement buses has been laid on. These seem to run to time mostly, though the process to book a ticket, which can only be done online, is pretty tortuous!

(1) To reach the apartment one has to negotiate 35 external metal steps. Not a problem for us, but for someone with mobility issues or heavy luggage, this would be very challenging. It would be helpful if his could be made clearer in the advertised details. (2) It was very difficult to keep the apartment cool enough for sleeping because all the doors and windows led directly onto a shared balcony. The problem could have been solved if the host had been able to provide a fan when we asked. (3) It would be good if the check in and check out times on booking.com matched the ones which are used in practice.

No personality. The staff was not easy to get ahold of. Had to call at check in and check out. Incredibly hot, a fan would have been nice. No privacy in room if your neighbors are sitting outside their door. Old coffee grounds with mold left in the coffee machine.
