Location, ease of checkin. Spacious and clean.

Wi-Fi didn’t work. Would also like more information in the listing about exactly where the room is in the building. And the laundry machine smelled strongly of mildew.

The unit was comfortable and in a great location to access everything. recommend a trip to Ilhave to visit the maritime museum. it’s all in Portuguese but videos help you realise the tough life of cod fishermen. Th aquarium was great as I had no idea what a cod looked like! The town is interesting with many beautiful houses . The canal boat ride is fun. lots of good restaurants within a short walk of the unit.

it did have a freeway across from it after the canal. which meant it was noisy with the window open so we had to use air conditioning. A kettle would have been good to make tea.

The apt is cute and has the things guests need. Newly remodeled. Staff were attentive. The location is good (and will be better when construction in the Center is complete.). The canal outside is not a bustling canal. Makes a great place to run.

Theres a sofa jammed in that small apt that makes things difficult (closet doors cant be open etc). The big issue for us was that there is a highway off in the distance that is loud (esp on windy days) so we never could have windows open. If windows are closed traffic noice is pretty much nonexistent. The outside is sidewalk, road, sidewalk, canal, big parking lot, and then highway. So the front is quiet in terms of people bustle but it has car bustle. But if you go into apt, close blinds, its very quiet. Also on first floor so that adds to the ease.

Good location within handy walking distance of the centre and free parking close by. Internet was reliable and quick and the bed was comfortable.

Not suitable if you want to stay more than two nights and cook some meals. Although the kitchen unit had a two ring hob and an oven/microwave, their use was limited due to the lack of ovenware, pans, utensils and other items that travellers booking an apartment need and expect. The amount of cutlery was pathetic; two knives, two forks and three teaspoons. The other knives were not sharp enough to cut bread! What accommodation doesn’t have an electric kettle and a chopping board! Part of the problem was that the kitchen unit was far too small and couldn’t accommodate what was necessary in the preparation of food or the washing up thereafter. There was a large dehumidifier which was obviously there to keep the moisture in check, but it clearly had never been emptied in a long time as it wouldn’t switch on. Couldn’t use the TV/STB as neither of the two remote controls had working batteries. Although the bathroom was clean, the discoloured sealant around the shower base was not a good look. We are far from picky travellers, but I think if the owners spent a few nights here, they would agree with our comments.
