Cheap and cheerful place in the heart of Kuta

This is a cheap & cheerful place in the heart of Kuta but surprisingly very quiet. The facilities are basic but adequate. This place is great if you want to spend time at the beach and want a quiet place to sleep. Shops, supermarkets and eateries are within easy distance. The place has a shared kitchenette to fix a quick meal or make some coffee. Factor in enough time if you are heading for the sirport because the road gets choked easily.

The bathrooms are clean but basic - I would have liked a better shower.

Highly recommend!!

The people were so incredibly friendly and the service was amazing. They also offer airport transfer which all was very comfortable and smooth! I will definitely go again and highly recommend going there and stay with this nice family.

Great value, quiet, traditional setting, off main strip, close to everything in Kuta and airport

Host was friendly and helpful. Super quiet and peaceful even though off Main Street. Rented the room as early morning flight. Loved the quiet traditional courtyard with draping vines and pond.

Nice for starting your holidays

Nice and helpfull staff , had a fridge in the room and water for free all day. You can walk easily to the main road, everything you need to buy is close (supermarkets,other shops). But it was quiet anyway because it‘s in a side street.

You could hear the neighbours whenever they were on the toilet etc🙈…not really good isolated for the noises…clean enough for someone who doesn‘t need luxury…

Amazing hospitality

Unclean, mosquitos and probably bed bugs

The staff is friendly, they don't understand that good English but we managed.

I went to this place because it had very good ratings on booking. I do not agree at all. When I first entered the room there was a foul moldy smell. I searched around the room and there was mold a lot of different places (see pictures). The bed was big, but the blacket had no covers? And also there was small hairs and dirt in the bed. The worst part is the holes the rooms had for ventilation, they were sealed shit with paper and tape. And of course that didn't hold up so well, so one of the holes were free access to the mosquitos, so I were bitten all night long, even though the ac was on. I do not recommend this place for anyone, go to the hotels, they are not that much more expensive at all.

Fantastic location; Everything you'd need at a good price!

Fantastic location. Walkable to so many places, and it's just right across the art market. I loved the very local "homey" vibes too. Everything you need is there; clean bed, good AC, hot water, TV. The only downside was just that the toilet in our room had a smell and it affected the room itself too. But if you're not sensitive to smells, this is absolutely perfect!

Cheap and cheerful!

The family that run the apartments are amazing. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. They left a left over fruit basket outside our room from there ceremony they had that morning. Good way to be involved in the culture here too. If they have a ceremony on they will invite guests to eat with everyone. We arrived early at 09:30am hoping to just leave our bags there but they actually made sure they had a room ready for us coming after I let them know that we would be arriving so early. We were just looking for somewhere to put our heads down for the night that’s close to the airport and we really wish we had spend more time here. Please do not be put off by the price as I got this room for $30 a night and was a bit sceptical considering it was soo cheap. The bed was comfy the shower room was clean what more could you want? They even arranged our taxi for us to the airport! If you are looking for somewhere just to sleep but also be surrounded by culture in Bali then this is the best place for you.

Nice homestay in good location

Nice accommodation, I like the homestay style. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and quite new. Within five minutes walking you are at the beach, the better restaurants are maybe 10-15 minutes away walking. Good price for what you get.

There's a big wall on the other side which unfortunately blocks a lot of the sun and daylight (made me feel like it's evening). I would therefore not stay for a very long amount of time.

Superb

The location is amazing! Right in the centre of Ubud very close to the market and to several restaurants and warungs! The room was comfortable, the bath quite small but OK. We also had a terrace with two seats outside the room. Breakfast is included.

Great location friendly helpful staff and organized a Bluebird taxi to the airport. Avoided being ripped off which was such a pleasant surprise at 5am.

Save your nose

Theoretically this would be a good property if the entire room did not smell like sewers because the smell comes from the bathroom. We also switched rooms but the other room had the same problem. The family who owns the property seem very nice but I know other reviews have mentioned the bad smell long before I stayed here and it is still not fixed.

The location was very good. Close to the airport which can be convenient for staying the night before. The staff very friendly and helpful.

The location is excellent, the hosts were fantastic, and they offered help for each time that I asked. The locatio was clean and very quiet. It was perfect for the night before the flight. We got laundry service, and it was ready the same day. The location offers great food, a mall, local coffee shops, and the beach is a 5-minute walk away.

Has nothing to do with the Genta House. However, there was a girl who worked at the salon and spa near them who would not stop bothering us about getting services or a massage - it made it uncomfortable to go to our accommodation as she would not stop.
