About this house rental
Welcome to Uncorked cottage! This newly built cottage (built 4 years ago) is tucked away on a quiet stone drive, among birds and trees, and an easy 5 minute walk to public beach (Mckinley). Brand new build with open concept living. First floor is kitchen, dining, living room, bathroom, washer and drier. Open concept with concrete floors, barn doors, and reclaimed barn wood beam. Second floor hard wood, high ceilings, 2 bedrooms (1 king and 1 queen), bunk room that sleeps 4, and full bath.
The kitchen is spacious with great counter top workspace, huge granite island that seats 4, stainless steel appliances, and fully stocked (microwave, dishwasher, oven, gas cook top and coffeemaker w/drip or pod).
Family room has 55" ROKU HDTV
Large screened in porch, outdoor BBQ, firepit and outdoor shower.
Linens, towels, and beach towels provided.
6 beach chairs, beach umbrella, and wagon provided.
2 Sonos speakers.
Weekly rental (Sunday to Sunday preferred-cleaning service is great but doesn't work on Saturdays) during summer months (May 29 to September 11)
No pets allowed!

A wonderful, quiet, clean and full equipped cottage just 1 1/2 hours away from Chicago. We love that it is clean, fully equipped and very spacious for our family of 4. The house can sleep 8 ppl comfortably, though. Sheila, the owner, is easy to reach and quick to respond to your questions. The home/cottage is a 5 minute walk to McKinley Beach as well as a cute bakery/coffee shop, ice cream shop and restaurant.

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO! The location was excellent, with a short and easy walk to the beach, which we enjoyed even in the chilly weather. The home itself was very well-equipped with everything we needed, and the amenities made our stay comfortable and convenient. The owner was responsive and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. It’s also ideally situated with a relatively easy drive from Notre Dame, which was a great bonus for us. We would absolutely stay here again—especially in the summer to fully enjoy everything the area has to offer!

Another fabulous stay at Uncorked! An easy walk to McKinley beach, Union Pier Social Club and downtown Union Pier

This was our second time booking Uncorked Cottage and we were even happier this time! We enjoyed the paved fire pit area with the solo stove for s’mores 3 nights. We just love sitting on the screened in porch and enjoying our coffee and bakery goods from Black Currant Bakehouse. The house is so easy to walk to and from the beach. Sheila has everything you would need at the house to make it easy on what you need to pack. We grilled steaks one evening. It’s truly one of the best vrbo’s we’ve rented. We plan on coming back next summer. I don’t know how many times I said to my husband that I just love this place! ❤️
