Perfect Canyon Lake getaway!!

The flapper in the toilet wasn't working so we had to lift the toilet lid and manually flush it everytime we used the restroom.

Absolutely had great time with my wife and 2 dachshunds! Deer are everywhere to where u can have them walk right up to you to feed them. Neighbors are nice! Would love to stay again one day in near future!

We loved the location and the house was perfect for us. We enjoyed feeding the deer.

That said, the sofa bed mattress was very warped and worn. If my kiddos weren't so young, they would have probably been complaining up a storm. The extensiveness of cleaning requirements and fees associated with it gives me a bad taste. We regularly stay at Hilton Resorts and have never had anywhere near this amount of chores to do upon leaving especially given the cost of the cleaning fee associated with renting the unit.

Good little lake cabin…grills needed cleaning as did the front porch! The actual house was neat and clean. Enjoyed walking the neighborhood each morning and evening. The neighbors were all friendly as well.

I loved waking up to the deer outside and the neighborhood is quite beautiful the house was perfect for the four of us

Loved the area and property was good overall. The pull out bed was disappointing and needs replacement (heavily bowed in the middle very uncomfortable). Also did not realize there was no dishwasher.

Great little place to stay. Shower was great - had great water pressure. Exactly what we needed for a short weekend. Deer were plentiful and friendly.

I know my score is low so let's get the pros out of the way first. Pros: -Bathroom has a really great tub. -Area is nice and as advertised -Kitchen has a nice oven/stove -It's quiet Now for the the cons (lowest priority to highest): -Microwave is cheap, tiny (full sized plates will barely fit and won't turn) and low powered (6 minutes only popped half a bag of popcorn) -Kitchen is not fully stocked as advertised, as it's missing basic seasonings (no salt/pepper), no lighter for the propane grill, no dishwasher for the dishes (so you have to hand-wash them at the end of your stay). -Internet did not work for the entire 2 night stay. Basic troubleshooting did not work, so it's either a line issue or a billing issue. Management office made no attempt to remedy this. -Outdoor propane grill has 2 burner tubes. The one on the left is damaged. Will light and spew flames on one side, then will blow itself out with its own propane. This will then lead to your food tasting like propane. Ask me how I know. -All of the above would be forgivable and I'd rate this 3 or even 4 stars if it weren't for the fact that THE BED MATTRESS IS ROCK SOLID. My girlfriend and I got almost no sleep during our stay because of how unexpectedly awful the bed was. We ended up migrating to the couch sofa, which is slightly softer but awful on our backs because the support bars dig right into your back. It was so bad that we nearly left for a hotel in New Braunfels. Since the money is already spent, we decided to tough it out. I'm writing the review exhausted and about to nap from the lost sleep. Honestly, I'd consider demanding my money back, but please take the money I gave you and buy a new mattress. What's the point of a vacation if you cannot get a good night's sleep?

Loved our stay! If you love the outdoors this is the place. All of the deer coming up so close was amazing. Great location. The fire pit needs replaced, the bottom is gone. The outdoor plastic chairs will need rolpacing, there are cracks in them. I would suggest extra pillows and blankets. Also instructions for the TV.

House was well kept. In nice neighborhood. Close to lake and town. With plenty of amenities. The only problem was the bed had a very hard mattress.

Great little house for the family. Really close to the lake and easy access to Comal park. Almost perfect, seems to be in the middle of some remodeling and had to call to get the internet fixed, and lot of the outlets didn’t work.

The location was a little further from the things we normally do when we visit, however it was a nice quiet neighborhood. Beds are worn out need mattresses. Kitchen we well stocked except need a few large bowls for side dishes etc. We enjoyed feeding and watching all the deer.

This was a very clean home located in a great area right by Canyon Lake. The subdivision it is in is nice and quiet. The deer in the mornings and evenings were amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

The location is perfect. It's close to canyon lake. The deer will walk right up to you so such a cool experience. The house is cute and has everything you need for a great time. The only problem we had was the bed. I would recommend bringing your own air mattress because it literally feels like you are sleeping on the floor its so bad. Also the pillows are paper thin so I'm so glad we brought our own! Other than that I would recommend staying here!

Property was wonderful so close to Comal park, and deer sightings all over the neighborhood. Had just a cozy feel to the home. It was wonderful after a day of swimming to come and relax watch movies on the big screen tv and play games. Only wish the sofa bed was more comfortable.

This is a great place to escape the city and enjoy some peace & quiet.

We absolutely loved the house and the location! The huge tub is the best part. That and the huge amount of deer that will come visit. Only complaint: the bed was almost as hard as the cabinet doors were to open.

We were really pleased with everything but the sofa bed. The mattress is the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever been on. The person had to sleep on the couch.
