It's a really great villa. I had a lovely welcome from Montse, who provided some excellent local wine, cheese, and biscuits, plus some water. The villa itself was clean, spacious, with some magnificent views both out to the coast and the surrounding hills. It's at the end of a small road, so it's so quiet and peaceful. Although I didn't have the best weather for the week, as I think there was the worst storm to hit the Canaries in 13 years while I was there, I did get to use the pool a couple of times and it was great. There was also a great selection of basics there for cooking (Oil, salt etc) if you were catering for yourself. It is a short walk into Tinajo, and there's a very well-stocked and very reasonably priced supermarket nearby. Plus a few restaurants. I was primarily there on a hiking holiday, and it is superbly located for the Timanfaya National Park and the rugged but spectacular northern coast. So lots of great hikes a short car drive away, or even a decent walk away if you are up for it. Plus, you can get to the resorts in southern Lanzarote in about 25 minutes if you need to. You could probably get by without a car if you don't mind walking a bit, but it did come in handy.

Nothing really. Yes it can get a little bit fresh at night if the weather is not cooperating, but there's a heater you can use if needed. And the weather is not the Villa's fault.

Very quiet location. Spectacular view to north and north west. Good shower and plenty of hot water. Spacious. Well furnished. Worth noting that the third bedroom and en suite bathroom is down steps in the semi-basement and is locked off if not full occupancy. There is a shower room outside on pool terrace so the 2 bedrooms in house share one bathroom.

The house was very cold on our arrival. The house has large high ceiling rooms. Two small (1.5kw) heaters were supplied but together they were only sufficient to warm part of one room to 18C. Host explained that electrical system could not support more heaters. Although the outside day temperature was in 20s the inside remained cool all week, so not comfortable. Pool water 14c. The property is probably ideal in summer as it is so cool and shady with north facing windows.
