About this cottage rental
We are a diverse and inclusive family and are part of a diverse and inclusive community.
PLEASE NOTE: During the school year, we, and our guest-renters, use the cottage as a remote workstation (WFH). Please contact us with your school year requests.
We are booking our cottage for the spring, summer, and fall seasons of 2025 and for 2026. If there are dates you are interested in, and those dates appear to be booked, please contact us. It is a family cottage, and our family & friends (and some of our regulars) plans are flexible and can change (some family members also use the cottage for Work-From-Home). There are workspaces with Wi-Fi in the cottage.
Our rates can be flexible for the Sept. to May months. Please note: We rent for up to 25 days maximum during any month.
We continue to follow COVID-19 protocols and keep our check-in and check-out with no contact from us (We follow MA guidelines & requirements for COVID-19 concerns).
Our 1920 cottage in Onset, MA, is in the style of the Vineyard's Gingerbread Cottages and is our beloved work-in-progress. Quiet, friendly, & respectful neighborhood. 100 steps (3 houses) to the neighborhood beach. 5-minute walk to sweet Onset Beach, kayak and canoe rentals, and cruises. (Viking Cruise through the Cape Cod Canal railroad bridge, Bourne and Sagamore Bridges). Seven-minute walk to Onset Village’s restaurants, shops, and post office. Water Wizz (re-opens June https://waterwizz.com/hours/) and other amusements 7-minute drive. Easy access to Boston, the Cape, and RI. Buzzard Bay Park is alongside the Cape Cod Canal for 7 miles to Sandwich Marina. Massachusetts Maritime Academy is nearby. Bike rentals sailworld.com/index.html
Our cottage is insulated/heated and has AC & fans (ceiling and wall). Fully equipped kitchen and outside grill with all you need to cook, and a big country sink and dishwasher to clean up. Large (20 x25) living room and dining room with a large dining room table and piano. The porch (7x 20) has chairs, a breakfast table, and an excellent napping couch. Patio ( 20 x 25) with grill, outdoor tables & chairs, and an outdoor shower. The main downstairs level bedroom (three-stair access) has a bath with a walk-in shower, sitting area, and laundry. Upstairs: two bedrooms, an extra open sleeping area, and a half bath.

This house is very clean which is the most important part to me. Well equipped kitchen stuffs, a minute walking to the water, close to the restaurant and shopping. We definitely going back the next time we visit Onset.

We stayed at Nina and Dave’s place for the month of July and had a great experience! The house is a short walk to restaurants/bars, ice cream, and the beach. It was well stocked (especially the kitchen) and if we needed something, Nina was responsive and accommodating. We really enjoyed our time in Onset and would rent from Nina and Dave again.

Home is just as listed and photos show. Nina was very welcoming and communicative with anything that may have been needed (we didn’t need anything, the house is fully stocked/furnished and everything worked great!). My kids enjoyed all the fun decor and we all enjoyed comfortable beds. No A/C as usual for beach homes here but the fans throughout the home kept it a very comfortable temperature! We’d love to stay here again.

Clean, bright, and bits of magic at ever turn in this sweetheart of a home. A quick walk through the neighborhood to the water and breath taking sunset.Enough indoor and out door space for family games and private times.Thank you for the wonderful escape!
