Cottage du Figuier, a peaceful retreat at the Château de la Giraudière near southern Angers

We will be delighted to welcome you to one of our two cottages. Here you will find real rest and interesting activities throughout the Unesco World Heritage region.
The COTTAGE DU FIGUIER is located in a pretty site near a seventeenth century outbuilding of the Château de la Giraudière.
From your private garden, equipped with garden furniture and two sunbathing armchairs, you will cross a small soup to go to the swimming pool heated in the summer and treated with salt. No vis-à-vis!
On the 15 hectares that surround the castle and the cottages, you can walk, stroll or fish in the pond.
The very pretty village of BLAISON-GOHIER, classified as a Small Cities of Character, will charm you. Hiking trails with the GR3 pass at our doorstep. Many VINEYARDS surround us...
The property is completely enclosed and access to the cottage is through a secure gate.
We offer two independent cottages not overlooked, backing onto each other with separate access, private garden with garden furniture and barbecue. They can also be rented together to accommodate 6 people.

The COTTAGE DU FIGUIER for 2 PEOPLE (AIR-CONDITIONED)
It is on the first floor, organized as a loft, with shower and toilet, a well-equipped kitchen (LV, LL, hood, induction hob), garden furniture and BBQ.
The bedding is top-of-the-range "Sealy" in 160 x 200. Linen pack on request.

From May, if the outside temperatures allow it, you can enjoy a large heated SWIMMING POOL (12.5 x 5.5) shared but never overcrowded, salt treatment, surrounded by comfortable deckchairs in a very green and peaceful environment.
When you walk in the park of the castle, the view is as far as the horizon can see. Armchairs await you in the shade of the lime trees overlooking the valley and the pond to enjoy the magnificent sunset.
Do you want to fish? We will lend you equipment.

In a tourist region where the vineyards and architecture charm the visitor, the two cottages are located between ANGERS (20 kms) AND SAUMUR (30 kms), 8 kms from the Château de BRISSAC, a must-see in Anjou.
The Château de la Giraudière, 15th, 17th and 19th centuries, is located on a ridge, overlooking the village of Blaseon-Gohier and the Loire Valley (a UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Its park and pond offer a charming and bucolic environment.

It is an ideal base for visiting the CASTLES OF THE LOIRE, but also for cycling (LA LOIRE A VÉLO), hiking with the GR3 which passes on the edge of the park, canoeing for a descent of the LOIRE, tree climbing, wake boarding at the WAKEPARK of Notre-Dame d'Alençon, the city of ANGERS, its castle and its historic city center, the large leisure park TERRA BOTANICA and that of PUY DU FOU which is 1 hour 15 minutes from our village, the CADRE NOIR in SAUMUR, and the unmissable ABBEY OF FONTEVRAUD...
Surrounded by vineyards, we can advise you on a tasting tour with talented winegrowers who will introduce us to the wines of Anjou.
