Casa Cosi - Gotico Barcelona

Cool area with plenty of shops, pubs, and restaurants nearby. Centrally located to everything and we walked everywhere so that was terrific. The apartment itself was quaint and had the old world vibe which was comfortable enough. Provisions were adequate and appreciated. On the downside:- on the second floor with narrow staircase. Made hauling our gear up a bit trying but still a neat feel. - it’s noisy at night. Between bar patrons, late night diners, midnight chatters, street cleaners and garbage pickup up early in the AM; if you’re in the master, you won’t get a good nights sleep. But you hear interesting conversations and plenty of singing. - cab service doesn’t stop near the apartment. A block or so away is as close as they get. But if hauling luggage, you should be aware. - entry is a challenge and not thoroughly explained. The communication should be better there but after three days and a couple calls to the energancy number we finally figured it out. Probably more communication than anything else. All in all, memorable stay at a cozy, centrally located place. Gothic District is really interesting and if you want to life the experience, this place might be for you.

The initial check in to the property wasn’t easy or smooth but the guy from the management company was very helpful and got us into the building. The fob/keypad door handle to get into the apartment was tricky too. The apartment is technically on the second floor but you do have to go up 4 flights of narrow stairs which would be difficult with luggage if you’re not strong and healthy. Also the front main bedroom is quite loud at night and early morning you definately need ear plugs. It was clean, comfortable, good location and had basics that you will need like towels/coffee/cooking basics etc.

Excellent location, lovely apartment. The only thing to be aware of is the walk from where cab drivers can drop you off. If you have a lot of luggage or travelling with a senior citizen it is a bit of a challenge to get to depending on the time of day. There are also 3 flights of steps to go up with luggage in tight quarters. Outside of getting there, it's an awesome area to stay with great shopping a restaurants nearby. Good spot, nice accommodations, just a bit challenging to get to.

Good location if you want to be right in the hustle of the Gothic District. Walking distance to many sights and stores. Charming and authentic. Washer and dryer which was great. Incredible restaurant right outside the door. Downsides- very noisy at night, the hang out space was in the master bedroom and the stairs to access the apartment were Incredibly narrow, steep, tall, uneven in a dark hallway. Very very difficult to get luggage in and out. If I’d known about these I don’t know if I would have booked. Virtually impossible access for anyone with physical limitations unless you have a very small suitcase and for children.
