The pool was the highlight of our visit. The weather was a little cooler than it has been all summer, and host Alastair offered without us even asking to turn up the heat. Kids were in the pool morning, noon, and night. Alastair is VERY responsive and very kind. Our party of thirteen had a wonderful time.

The house is a perfect setting for a family vacation! The house and pool were clean and the house had all the pots, pans and utensils needed to cook meals. Baby equipment was at the house freeing up car space for all our other belongings. Lots for the grandchildren to do and room for us to hang out and play games after swimming. This home met our needs very well. 7 bedrooms and nice pool and large lounge area with lots of seating. We made good use of the grill and smoker which made for great evening dinners together rather than eating out. Our littles loved the trampoline and clubhouse. The house was well stocked with kitchen needs. The owner was great to work with. It’s 15 min from MI City and lots of other activities. We look forward to coming back.

This was the perfect house for our stay. We had 12 people in our group and this house was perfect. Really enjoyed being in the woods but right off main highway. Easy access to South Bend which we came up for a game at Notre Dame. Next day we went up to Lake Michigan and Michigan City for a great lunch and to see the sights. House was close to plenty of food and shopping less than 10 minutes away. The house itself was great. Plenty of beds, stocked with everything you could need. Game room was awesome for our kids with plenty of entertainment even though too cold for pool and outside entertainment. Speakers in every room for music was a nice touch too. We would definitely stay here again. Recommend 10/10

Plenty of bedrooms for our extended family and large dining room and living room made for a great gathering space. It was perfect for our group of 8 adults and 6 children. The kids had fun outside although the trampoline didn't seem very safe so we kept the kids off after the first day. The kids were in the pool from sun up to sun down. Pool has great surroundings for those who want to watch the pool action, sun bathe, play on the trampoline, use the swings and slides or nap in the hammocks. Something for everyone.

When renting a property, you always hope that the place is as advertised and clean and quiet. This property did not disappointment and was better than advertised. From the great amenities, to the smallest little details, they have everything covered for young and old. Then to top off this experience, the excellent communication from the housekeeper and owner made our vacation a relaxing, enjoyable and hassle free trip that everyone enjoyed. We will be back again!

We booked this for a small extended family gathering with 3 kids ages 8-15, parents and grandparents. We loved that it had so many kid friendly amenities. The pool was a big hit and the big bin of boards games came in handy on a cold and rainy day.

We enjoyed our trip and there was plenty of room for our big group. There are lots of unfinished projects throughout the property, so you can tell it’s a work in progress. It didn’t get in the way much but we wished the patio area by the pool was better situated. The pool itself is beautiful and well maintained and even had a diving board which the kids thought was great. The automatic cover was really easy to use and in great shape.

Went with extended family including nieces and nephews. Pool is great. 20 minutes from Michigan City and 30 minutes from Notre Dame. Kitchen and living areas are spacious and well equipped. Bedrooms are little outdated; but clean. House is definitely being renovated somewhat as there are walls that are being patched and will be painted. The areas where the family gathers and eats are great though. Nice house to get away from it all. A lot of nature around it. Country feel. If you are looking for immaculate up to date modern home with private bathrooms for every bedroom, do not book. If you do not need private bathroom for each room, then book the home as service was great and the house did provide the room and fun our family needed.

We loved the property. We had 17 in our group and the home accommodated all of us. The swimming pool and trampoline were great. We were within 15 minutes of the beach in New Buffalo and even closer to the marina where we rented a pontoon one morning and the golf course we played at another morning. Everyone had a great time.

We stayed with 3 families. It was close so we went to New Buffalo and the beach one day. The rest of the days we spent in the very nice pool. The kitchen was stocked with nice appliances and everything else we needed. Outdoor steps need to be re-done, kind of dangerous and it looked like they are ready to paint because nailholes were filled in and could be seen. It would have also been nice if a few of the couches would have been pullout. Overall a very nice house and vacation.

The location is great! The pool and everything provided in the downstairs area for children make it so family friendly. The generous amount of basic supplies provided is fantastic. I packed way too many kitchen supplies as most of what I needed was there. Cons would be that although it says 4 bathrooms, there are only 2 full and 2 half baths. With a large group, juggling shower times was challenging. I did not realize that until after I booked. The description needs to better clarify that fact. There are also some maintenance areas that need to be addressed, but I am sure the owner will be on top of that. It can be hard to maintain a rental property from a distance and we understand that.

The house is very large and it really feels like a home away from home. The kitchen is the most well appointed kitchen that I have ever seen at a rental property. The house was private and the pool was heated. I appreciated that the owner let us check in early. There was great communication for check in instructions. There were a few things that I do wish would have been fixed prior to us staying there. There was a rip in the couch, the carpet on the stairs could use some steam cleaning, there was some spackle on the upstairs bathroom walls that just made it seem like it was unfinished. Also, in the bathroom upstairs , the shower did not work and the tub did not plug. For the price we paid, this was disappointing. If the repairs are done, we would stay again since it was a great location and the kids loved the pool and basement.

This large home is set well back from the road with beautifully treed land. We had 8 adults and 8 children and we had plenty of room to spread out. We all loved the pool, the toys in the basement and the really well-appointed kitchen. The kids loved the playset, but it needed some repair, as did the dining room table (which wobbled badly) and the wobbly seat at the island. The wrap-around porch is really nice, but one side of it is lined with tools and items that are not safe for children. The rugs in the home did not look like they had been vacuumed and there were many dead bugs on the floors. It just did not look like the house had been cleaned in a while. We did enjoy our stay at this home, but for the money we paid, if I had known it was that dirty, we would not have rented it. I let the owner know about this, because he is getting ripped off by whoever is cleaning and maintaining this home, and he did seem concerned about the situation.

We had a wonderful long weekend getaway at this property. The house was well stocked with kitchen, bathroom and laundry room essentials. Appliances are very nice. The house is surrounded by a forest area that we could hike in and the kids could build forts. The basement was filled with kids’ toys and games, and the backyard had a great trampoline and swing set. We would love to be back during the summer to try their huge swimming pool. Overall, a really fantastic house with plenty of space for 3 families.

This home was perfect for a large family gathering. The house was very clean, the kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils, the bedrooms comfortable, and a basement room with an amazing assortment of toys, tv, and pull out couches. Lots of outdoor area with a fire pit, 2 swing sets, a trampoline, and a wonderful wrap around porch. Many indoor and outdoor spaces to spread out during the stay.

This location is quite nearly ideal - 20 minutes from Lake Michigan, with plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. We were able to buy everything we forgot. The heated pool was a marvel, especially as we were there late in the season. The pool was initially a bit cooler than we preferred, and the owner graciously guided us through the steps to get it warmer. Throughout our stay, the owner was very responsive and extremely helpful. Our one surprise was that though the house is listed as having 4 bathrooms, it is actually 2 bathrooms and 2 half baths. But, otherwise, the house is great, with an updated kitchen, and lots of children's toys and games. Also, the house was an A+ in cleanliness, which made us feel comfortable in the age of Covid. Oh, and there was a firepit that we didn't use, but wanted to. And there were tons of outside chairs, so there's no need to bring your own. We strongly recommend this property, and hope to rent again, for longer, in the future.
