- Large, comfortable bed - Large TV - Good water pressure on shower - Tasty free meals - Free pyjamas, tea (including caffeine-free tea!) and coffee

- Was inconvenient that the amenities were inaccessible from 10 to 2 and from 11 to 7 - would be nice if they were available from the laundry machine or something - Laundry machine was a bit expensive and a change machine wasn't provided - No clearly vegetarian or pescetarian-friendly meals (curry might have been but wasn't clear) - A little bit cramped for two people's luggage

R9 was super clean. There are washers in sight and also comes with a free meal. Showers are hot and bathrooms were nice. Close to Ashikaga station.

A container box converted hotel; small room; basic setup. Got everything needed, included a microwave. Got the checkin instruction before arrival and thought it is a self-service hotel. Eventually, found out the front desk in fact operates from 10am till 11pm. If you carry big luggage, do not take the South exit of Ashikaga station although it is closer as there is no elevator. Better take the North exit. There are two R9 The Yard hotels in Ashikaga. Watch out when you check from goggle. “Hotel R9 The Yard Ashikagaekinishi” is the one closer to the station.
