Luxury Arts District Apartments

Excellent location; right in the heart of the Arts district. Around the corner from the WW II museum and the Odgen museum of southern art. It's a 10-min bike ride to the French quarter and a 15 min bike ride to the garden district. The area is quiet and feels safe. Also, it is conveniently located near the Higgins hotel (a common hotel where tour companies can pick you up). The apartment itself is spacious and well equipped; it had a foosball table, TV, a big kitchen with many kitchen utensils and a small bar area. The main bathroom was huge. We slept in the main bedroom (which has a second TV) and found the bed to be comfy. We did not use the washing machine but there is one available in case you stay for several days. We also liked the small lounge area upstairs, which had board games and an LP player. There's lots of sunlight because there are windows all over the apartment. Finally, though we did not spend much time there, we enjoyed the balcony, which also had plenty of seating space. The view is average but that did not take away from our experience. Also, the host was responsive and attentive. Overall I recommend this place and I would stay again.

It took really long for the shower of the main bathroom to give us hot water. Not sure if this is something related to the building itself, but that's the one thing I did not love.

It was beautiful! Styling was on point, great comfortable beds, plenty of towels! It felt like home in many ways!

The dishwasher. I don’t know if it was a relic from the WWII Museum that is around the corner because I would swear that if that thing was used against the Germans they would all be dead by the end of its first run. What a noise… same goes for the washer/ dryer combo tbh. Oh and we missed an outside patio/ balcony… I guess we could have known…

The apartment was really spacious with many amenities.

The smell of damp as you enter the main building. The main photo showing the features of the appartment did not match what I was expecting. The 3rd bedroom is too small. 2nd bedroom is too crowed with beds. Window seals needs new a coat of sealant and some vanish. The basebed in the main bedroom, too low. Needs to be a divan style to avoid accidents from knocking your foot underneath.
