Beware! Unauthorized Access to Apartments and Theft of Money I would never have chosen these apartments if I had known how unsafe they are! During my stay, a large sum of money was stolen directly from the nightstand next to my bed. We always locked the door, and we had only one set of keys, but as it turned out, LaStay staff can enter the apartments without permission. Surveillance camera footage captured that a LaStay cleaning staff member entered the building, took the elevator, stayed inside for only 8 minutes, and then left. However, no cleaning was ever done in our apartment during our entire stay! This raises serious concerns. The management company refused to help and merely stated that they would send the employee for a polygraph test—and that was it! We reported the incident to the police, as we lost a significant amount of money, and this is a real security threat for guests. I believe Booking.com must take action against LaStay, as situations like this should never happen again! I am extremely disappointed and do not recommend booking this property. I understand that this situation cannot be undone, but I want as many people as possible to know about it. I will make sure that this incident becomes widely known so that other travelers do not fall into the same trap.

Good stay with a few bumps along the way.

Great location, lovely new build with modern finishes. Management Company did their best to resolve any issues quickly, thanks to Aminata.

There were a significant amount of problems with this unit, and although the management company did their best to provide great service, there are a number of things which needs to be addressed by the owners such as replacing the couch, it is totally ruined. Deep cleaning this entire unit including the beds and dining chairs. For R4,500 a day you would expect perfection and nothing to complain about.

Superb

for the money we spend it was good… but what was more than amazing: one kid left his apple airpods behind when we moved out and just minutes later - via the booking messenger - we received the note that those earphones had been found in the appartment! That was so great - so fair - so trustful. Thank you for your honesty!!!

Great value for money, super comfortable apartment, friendly and easy contact with owner/manager.

The apartment is exactly as described in the listing and the pictures are very accurate. The location was perfect for us in Sea Point with many shops, restaurants, supermarkets and the seafront within around a ten minute walk. Good security at the property also. Esme was a delight to deal with and the check in/check out process was extremely easy and she was super friendly and helpful.

The initial listing provided contact details of the previous management company for the apartment and there was some anxiety initially in arranging arrival as no contact details were available via booking.com for the new hosts. This was soon rectified and I imagine has all been updated on booking.com now.

Lovely flat with great view which was very comfortable with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Very good security including covered, gated parking facilities and friendly staff.
