The location as it met our needs

The place was cluttered too much unnecessary furniture in the room, we felt like it was a dumping ground for the furniture the owner had. The blinds were broken as it let in the night light a bit too prices for the one nights stay, It wasn't as clean as I felt it should be.

You need to go!!!

The location is interestingly, very historical, especially being ex royal navy, it is an amazing development and Plymouth as a city also, noticed a lot of brilliant changes since the late 90's/ early 2000's. Royal William Yard felt like home for the 3 days we stayed there, it's very secure, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Lots of options available to us, depending whether we wanted food or drinks or even to watch a movie at their cinema..... which we took full advantage of! It was so nice to be surrounded by the sea and all the delights that came with that and we enjoyed the walk around the place, taking in as much as we could. The building had a great blend of old and new, with the amazing stone work on show in the apartment coupled with modern facilitie, which gave it a great feel of security and it's history. The apartment had everything we needed and was warm, comfortably cosy and the perfect size for a weekend visit. We walked into the city centre and the barbican area in the daytime, too experience the place on foot, taking detours around the Hoe, Union Street and the famous Stone House. Then used the buses in the evening, which dropped us of right outside the Yard. Went on a boat trip with Plymouth Boat Trips and showed my son where i use to work, at the Devonport Naval Dockyard and also learnt some extra history i never knew about the place. Also enjoyed the National Marine Aquarium after our breakfast at Monty's cafe, very impressed with the work they are involved in at that place. See you all again in the summer.

Great value stay in the fantastic RWY. I read all the reviews before booking and lots of complaints about minor things but to be honest you cannot complain when you are paying less than 100 pounds a night with parking to stay in such a wonderful development. Ok it could have a bit of a refresh but then you would pay double. I would definitely stay again, had a great nights sleep and is such a peaceful location.

Needs some TLC but great location

Umm. I chose not to use the kitchen facilities and really disappointed with the standard of cleanliness. Kevin if you are paying for a cleaner as I have been charged then you need to find someone else. The floors were dusty and dirty, the kettle has been boiled dry I assume by a previous guest. Overall the entire place needs some care and attention, with new fitting blinds and a bed that doesn’t squeak. I hate leaving bad reviews but this was a disappointment for me and I stayed out only returning at sunset. I am happy to send you photos as the owner, I won’t post them on here.

4/5g signal was a problem which meant it took a while to get the instructions to get into the property.

Cleanliness was lacking. Whilst there was fresh bedding and towels the floors and surfaces were not clean.

The location was great, & free parking. Kevin the owner seemed friendly.

The blind was broken, which wouldn’t usually bother me but as its floor to ceiling windows, everyone walking by could see in, so not ideal. The bed was very creaky, so getting a full nights sleep didn’t happen. The apartment is right next to the main stairwell and you can hear other residents, which woke us up a lot. It was jam packed with furniture (mainly chairs) so was hard to find space to put our suitcases (we ended up having to have it by the front door). Only half a toilet roll was left so we had to go buy some for the stay. We actually left a night early as we couldn’t do the 3rd night in the bed.

Perfect little hidden away place for a weekend break

What an amazing little hideaway, never stayed in royal William yard before and so this was a lovely surprise of a place. Perfect for a weekend get away and been where it is you can walk pretty much every where

The lounge was described as having a couch, the couch was actually a futon which was a very uncomfortable bed. Every time my husband or I moved there was a terrible creak. The mattress was very thin so there was no comfort. We both woke up with back ache which resulted in staying 3 nights instead of 4. We booked into a Premier Inn for our last night. The car park was on a building site where they were demolishing buildings we should have been given alternative parking

Lovely location, ideal for a 1night stay and great for short journey to port the next day

Location was perfect for us travelling on Brittany ferries the following day. The area is stunning and lots of places to eat and drink close by.

The sofa bed for my daughter was ok. Main bed was quite unstable and quite uncomfortable.

It was very easy to get into the flat and the owner/ manager was extremely helpful in letting me in. I was very happy.

Nice shower, great kitchen, quiet but still in a stunning local location, close to loads of restaurants and bars. Modern, fresh and clean. I like being able to go for a morning swim in Tranquility Bay.
