Relaxing and cosy
Lovely property well laid out had everything we needed. Loved the upstairs lounge. Short walk to village with shop, cafe and a park. Little drive uphill and you have plantation to walk dogs in.

Cosy cottage, full of character and such a great location.
Great looking cottage inside and out. Lots of character. It feels modern despite it clearly being very old. You can tell a lot of care goes into every part of the place. It’s well maintained and very clean.

Comfortable, spacious, well equipped cottage - a great stay!
Accommodation was clean, very spacious and tastefully furnished. Kitchen was very well equipped. Dog was able to come. Welcome basket was a nice touch.

Charming cottage in the tranquil area
Beautifully decorated cottage with full modern equipment. Comfortable bed, spacious rooms, and quiet neighbourhood. Easy to walk around the nature. Easy access to the Peak District. I felt at home easily. It is ideal to escape from daily hectic life. As every body says that the welcome basket was delightful. You will already have bread, cookies, and a bottle of milk in the fridge. And a tart off course.
To find the cottage was a little bit tricky with our car navigation, should have input "Two Dales" in stead of "Matlock". Some negative points were that we had only a pair of face and bath towels for a whole week stay. Another pair could be interesting for the long stay. And there were hand towels in the kitchen and bath room, but no kitchen towels. Fortunately I brought them with me, so we had no problem. We didn't see any staff or owner at the property, that made us feel little bit isolated, but it was no big deal finally.

Hidden Gem
Cottage was in a great location for walking and local amenities with a lovely traditional pub on the door step! Very cosy with great facilities and felt like home from home immediately! Lovely welcome hamper containing amazing Bakewell tart which was a lovely gesture! Will definitely be back 😊

Relaxing and lovely
Superb property lots of little touches which made the stay lovely and easier. This included a welcome basket with a yummy Bakewell tart amongst other things.
Was exactly as expected.
