About this apartment rental
Gather around the fire pit and stargaze with toasted marshmallows, then cozy up on the cozy sectional in front of a movie. Warm hardwood floors combine with chunky wooden furniture, historic beams, and elegant sash windows at this period retreat. This second floor apartment of a two unit 1830 farmhouse can be rented on its own or with the downstairs unit. Booked as just the second floor, it is completely secluded with its own private entrance.
ALL NEW cozy, designer decorated, original VT farmhouse entire 2ND FL. apartment. King bed that can be split into twins and a double bed. Full kitchen, living room and bathroom.
3 acres, swimming hole, wifi, cable, TV, laundry. Very easy to get to towns and skiing.
IMPORTANT NOTE: A/C window unit in kitchen living area only. MOST places in the area (except the main resort) DO NOT have A/C. It seldom gets past low 80s usually in the 70s and there is a wonderful breeze. There are free standing fans if needed as well.
No shared space except yard and driveway.
3 acres, swimming hole, wifi, cable, TV, fire pit, charcoal grill, laundry. Very easy to get to towns and skiing.
* We live in NYC, but have caretakers up there for any in person issues
The property sits in 3 acres right off route 100. Amazing restaurants in Waitsfield and Warren are within easy reach, with Blueberry Lake and Ole cross country and snow shoe trails nearby and a private swimming hole in the valley behind the house.
**PET RULES - Please read prior to booking**
We are happy to welcome guest’s pets who are behaved and don’t shed. There is a $250 additional fee per pet (per week, for longer stays), and the following rules must be strictly adhered to.
1. The pets cannot be left alone in the apartment unless secured (locked) in their kennel (cage)
2. The pet is under no circumstances allowed on any of the furniture, including beds
3. We reserve the right to keep the security deposit if we find out or if it is evident that our rules were not respected
4. Please bring your own hair removal tool, lint roller, etc, and maintain the cleanliness of our home
Due to my allergies, we have to unfortunately be rather strict with the rules, but weve had great guests who are very understanding and respectful, which enables us to continue to allow pets. Thank you for understanding and please reach out with any questions
We LOVE our VT retreat and hope you do to! Please treat it with love and respect. All we ask is you strip the sheets before leaving, lock all windows and the door and make sure the lights are off.

Very clean and cute farm house.
Would suggest a handrail as walking up to the steep stairs to the second floor with luggage is very challenging.
Also, the a/c units were still in and we woke up to 30 degrees and a hard frost. Tried to turn on heat to take chill out but no luck.

The apartment was lovely . Since it is upstairs , it could have used a railing . Other than that it was beautifully equipped and and comfortable . WIFi was non existent . But nice to "unplug"

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property in Waitsfield! The interior was clean, cozy, and exactly what we were hoping for—a perfect home base for a relaxing getaway. Communication with Yiselle was excellent from start to finish. She was responsive, helpful, and made everything easy. The property itself is gorgeous and well cared for, offering a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again! Thanks Robert

We chose this rental for its proximity to a wedding venue on Lareau Rd. The rental is clean and well decorated on a little hill just feet feet from Rt 100. The location made the drive to the wedding simple...but also created a lot of traffic noise in the rental unit. Not the quiet Vermont town, but a busy road with a lot of noise.
The stairs to the second floor were steep, the treads narrow and no hand rail. This wasn't a problem for us, but I am surprised it meets "code"
The kitchen lacked a few simple items (liquid measuring cup, griddle, spatula) that forced us to pivot a bit
The single, window A/C unit in the kitchen did not provide enough cooling to keep the bedrooms cool. One of the fans provided in the bedrooms did not work.
We did enjoy our trip to Vermont. The VRBO was not a disaster, but certainly could have been better
$$$$
