Wonju Boscoa Hotel

Modern and very clean hotel with friendly staff and located in a newly-developed, quiet part of town with plenty of restaurants and several convenience stores. There's also an artifical river running through the area which makes for pleasant walks. We even had a view of Chiaksan's misty slopes from our room. The breakfast was perfectly fine for the money.

The walls of the rooms are very thin. In the evening, we could hear our neighbors watching TV; in the morning, we could hear them pack up their things and the cleaning personell doing their work.

The location is great. There's a beautiful riverfront park across the street with ample jogging trails, and lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance. There was a massage chair in the room that we took ample advantage of (though we couldn't adjust the strength, so sometimes it was a bit strong.) The room was large, comfortable, and well-appointed. The interior design of the hotel is modern and fashionable. The front desk personnel did not speak English but were very accomodating. Breakfast was delicious -- Korean (rice, japchae, kimchi, etc.) and Western (cereal, toast) options available.
