About this apartment rental
The Hideaway is located near the Potomac River in quaint Knoxville, MD. It is very close to Harpers Ferry, WV, Antietam National Battlefield, historic Sharpsburg, MD, the C&O canal and other local attractions.
There are two levels to the home and the Hideaway is the lower level. The Hideaway is a fun, eclectic, comfy space that boasts a full kitchen and includes a full bath, kitchen table seating 4, island with seating, washer/dryer and sleeps 6.
Pets under about 50 lbs are welcomed at an additional fee of $40 per pet, per stay, but must be crated when unattended. I can make exceptions to the fee structure for small dogs or multiple pets.
The Hideaway offers a large open space for enjoyable social gatherings. The common area and bedrooms have oak hardwood flooring. An exterior grade level deck offers additional space for relaxing, entertaining, grilling and enjoying the outdoors. The living area includes a convertible sofa that sleeps 2 comfortably on a new Ikea sleeper sofa. Both bedrooms have new queen memory foam platform beds. All the furnishings and linens are new!
A charcoal grill has been provided on the deck, but you will need to bring charcoal and a lighter.
In support of the global effort to conserve energy resources utilizing reasonable practices, we have installed Ecobee “smart” thermostats in all of our listings that the guests can also control. The thermostats are preset with a maximum heating setting of 72 degrees and a minimum cooling setting of 72 degrees.

The apartment was clean with a kitchen, living room with a comfy sofa and tv, 2 bedrooms, & bathroom with a bathtub/shower. The host was welcoming to pets. The large backyard had a patio with a picnic table, grill & 2 Adirondack chairs, plus a gazebo! The kitchen had a nice wood table with 4 chairs, plus extra chairs by the counter. There was use of a washer & dryer in a space shared with another guest. Overall this place was a good value for the price!

Overall, the location of the property is excellent located close to all activities. That is the main reason I rented the house. I had a running race to go to and it was only 12mins from the start location. I would give this 5 stars based on location and communication with manager and check in and out process. I gave it 4 stars because I feel the house needed a little more work on cleaniness and it was missing basic items in the kitchen and bedrooms. Otherwise my stay was very nice and Joe was very accomidating and pleasant. Thank you Joe. I appreciate you letting me stay another night to recovery from my race.
