About this apartment rental
Climb the stairs to find a nice deck with a hot tub overlooking Brown County's famous tree-covered hills (with a gorgeous view of the sunset sky), and table & chairs perfect for bird watching while you sip your morning coffee. From the deck you'll be able to see the Indiana Railroad train, as it goes through the little village of Helmsburg. When you step inside the front door, an airy and open space that's bright, comfortable, and clean awaits. All the rooms are spacious and decorated with vintage and up-cycled finds, as well as local art. Two cute sofas, a 40-inch flat screen TV, and a chair make for the perfect spot to snuggle, read, or watch a movie. High-speed internet, Roku, and the full Sling package provide endless options for TV watching. There are also books, games, a DVD player, a Wii video game console, and stereo for the times you may want to hunker down and stay in, cuddled up with lots of soft, cozy blankets.
The kitchen is completely furnished, right down to the forks...so bring along the food you want to cook and you'll be set. Cookware, colorful dishes, a toaster, blender, coffee maker, electric range, full-size fridge, and microwave are all there to make your mealtimes easy. You'll even find flour, sugar, spices, tea, and fresh, locally roasted coffee from Brown County Coffee. Adjoining the kitchen is the laundry room with a stacking HE washer/dryer. An iron and mini-size ironing board are also provided, if you are personally offended by wrinkles.
In the bedroom, the deliciously comfy queen bed is outfitted with crisp white linens and plenty of pillows. An antique dresser and a big closet will handle all the clothes you can pack. The full bath features a tub/shower combo, fluffy towels, shampoo, lotion, and locally made soap.
Brown County has lots of entertainment options, from outdoor activities such as ATV tours, zip-lining, gold-panning, horseback riding, golf, mountain biking, and hiking. There are over 200 shops in Nashville (a 10-minute drive), plus artists' studios, craft galleries, as well as many restaurants from which to choose. We have several wineries and breweries to visit, and Brown County State Park, Yellowwood State Forest, and Lake Lemon, are all within 10 minutes of Catalpa Tree House. The Bill Monroe Music Park-Campground hosts several music festivals throughout the year, so come get your bluegrass and jazz on in beautiful downtown Bean Blossom...you'll be there within five minutes of leaving Catalpa Tree House's driveway. The Helmsburg General Store is practically a stone's throw from your seat on the deck, and a good place to pick up a Hunt Brothers Pizza, chicken wings, some beer, incidentals, or fishing bait.
