I accidentally booked the wrong type of room, where there was no sofa bed. After explaining the situation, there happened to be a room available with a sofa bed, so they offered to upgrade the room so we could all sleep comfortably. Also, for the breakfast, one of us has a tree nut allergy. Gladys, in the kitchen, worked with us to make sure we had a breakfast with no chance of cross contamination. She made sure the waffles, sausage and eggs all came directly from the kitchens.
When booking the reservation it looked like we could walk safely to the Allstate Arena and it would take about 10 min. However, when we tried to walk there we realized there are no crosswalks at the two intersections by the hotel so we would have to cross a very busy road. We ended up driving to our destination which only took a few minutes but it would have been nice to be able to walk there.
