About this house rental
Welcome to Cedar Ridge, your ultimate vacation destination for an unforgettable Lake Michigan summer experience. Nestled between Mears and Pentwater, just 3 blocks away from a beautiful county beach on Lake Michigan, our family-friendly home is the perfect place to unwind and create lasting memories.
Our cozy 855 sq. ft. house features 2 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 5 guests. The first floor boasts a convenient washer and dryer as well as a half bathroom, with stairs leading up to the main living area. Upstairs, you'll find the bright and spacious living room, a master bedroom with a slider to the wrap-around deck, and a second bedroom with bunk beds - a full bed on the bottom and a single bed on top, also with a slider to the deck. Our large, bright kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances and utensils you need to prepare delicious meals during your stay. And if you prefer to cook outside, we also provide a convenient propane grill on the deck for your use just outside the kitchen slider.
Stay connected with loved ones and stay on top of work with our new high-speed internet access by Starklink. And if you're up for some adventure, explore the adjacent 250 acres of state land with trails for biking and hiking. There's also plenty of space to enjoy yard games with your family just steps outside the front door.
Enjoy the peaceful serenity of the night sky while relaxing on our outdoor seating on the deck. Whether you are looking for a romantic evening under the stars or a fun night of stargazing with the family, our cottage offers the perfect spot to take in the beauty of the night sky. With minimal light pollution in the area, you will be able to enjoy the stars and constellations like never before.
Our special accommodations include a water filter, central air conditioning, satellite television, and an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after a fun day at the beach. In the evenings, enjoy quality time with your loved ones gathered around the fire pit, with plenty of firewood supplied on the property.
Starting summer 2024 we have all new linens and all rooms are freshly painted. New photos will be available soon!
Additionally, please be aware that the living area of our home is on the second floor above the garage, so renters should be comfortable with climbing a flight of stairs to enter and exit the home.

We had a great stay at this VRBO. Our host was very communicative and the property was stocked with all the amenities we nedeed. Since this was primarily a beach vacation the beach chairs, umbrellas, outdoor shower were much appreciated. The outdoor deck was a huge hit for reading, working, games, and dinner with the family. Thanks, Dan!

Everything you need. Plenty of space inside and the same outside. The kids loved playing with the games inside the house when it was raining. Firepit outside was perfect for relaxing around and star gazing. We are planning on coming back next year. Less than 10 minutes from Pentwater and less than 10 minutes from Silver Lake. Perfect spot.

Let’s look at this property in two respects: the house & the owners policy. The house is comfortable and we appreciated the grill, dishwasher, washer/dryer and Dish TV. However, what overshadowed our stay was the owner’s ‘Linen policy’ which is buried in the 7th paragraph of the description. YOU are expected to bring your OWN sheets, towels, pillows, etc.! Who travels with their own linens and towels? This policy needs to be more prevalent - not in the 7th paragraph!!! If you Google: ‘does VBRO provide linens’ , it says: ‘ we provide towels and bed linens, beach tags, paper products. House well stocked’. That is NOT what we found. Is there another way to perceive this other than ‘cheap’? If it’s an issue for the owner with turn time for the next rental, have two sets. This is ridiculous, especially for the price paid!
