Nice cabin in busy location due to truck traffic. Still had an enjoyable time.

Location had a great view but the street lights and truck traffic were bad. Especially while trying to view the aurora. Cabin was quaint.

Having to pay for linens and electricity. The steps down to the ocean were very slick, you could put grip strips or chicken wire over them, it is a real big hazard! Rugs slippery, backing would be good.

Cozy and comfy place with spectacular views

Nice, homey and rustic. Killer mood. Fantastic views. A bit worn, but it’s a part of the athmosphere. Peaceful and secluded location, though a minutes drive from Olderdalen and freeride/hiking locations. Would definately go again.

If you’re looking for something posh, the worn out rustic thing migh be off putting, but for us it just added to the experience.

Gemütliche Unterkunft am Fjord

Schöne Lage direkt am Fjord und zwei plätschernden Bächen. Gemütliche Einrichtung.

Die Kommunikation war sub-optimal. Wenige Tage vor der Anreise kam eine Nachricht, dass die Buchung/Konditionen von Booking.com nicht verbindlich seien und dass man die Rechnung über einen DanCenter-link zu begleichen habe. Zudem seien Zusatzkosten zu erwarten (Reinigung, Strom, Bettwäsche). Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war die Kreditkarte von Booking.com längst abgebucht (genauso war die Stornierungsmöglichkeit abgelaufen). Dies brachte natürlich einige unötige Unruhe in unsere 3-wöchige Nord-Norwegen Tour. Schliesslich meldete sich der Eigentümer und gab an, dass bis auf die Bettwäsche alles inkllusive sei. Die Bettwäsche koste aber 200 NOK pro set. Um unnötigen Stress und hin und her so kurz Anreise zur Unterkunft zu vermeiden, haben wir dies akzeptiert. Dass in einem voll ausgestatteten Haus ausgerechnet die Bettwäsche nur unter Zusatzkosten zur Verfügung gestellt wird, ist für uns jedoch ein absolutes Novum. Keine voll ausgestattete Unterkunft weder in Norwegen oder anderswo hat jemals Bettwäsche separat in Rechnung gestellt. Wenn dies schon so gehandhabt wird, sollte dies jedenfalls klar und deutlich mit Preisangabe bei der Beschreibung der Unterkunft angegeben werden. Die Sauberkeit war akzeptabel wenn auch eine Erneuerung der Betten (insebsondere der fleckigen etwas muffig riechenden Bettkissen) sicherlich nicht verkehrt wäre. In der Küche waren einige Stellen (z.B. Herd-knöpfe und Oberflächen) etwas klebrig, was wir nachgereinigt haben.
