Fantastic location

Good location, great to have dedicated parking space, modernised property with good well equipped kitchen (including dishwasher), good shower, relatively quiet street

Main bedroom extremely small and could benefit from a better mattress and better quality bed linen; staff did not get back to us about some house keeping issues despite chasing them up. Aside from kitchen and shower, some of furnishings quite basic/dated

Good

The location in the centre of Helmsley is ideal. There is a lot of outside space and also room for 2 cars.

The main bedroom is very cramped and some of the towels had seen better days. In the kitchen there was no foil or cling film, no dishwasher tablets, no washing-up cloth or even a spare waste bag for the bin. Given that these items cost so little they really should be provided.

Fantastic Yorkshire location, great for walking and not too far from the beaches

The owner has laid out the property extremely well with both an upstairs and downstairs bathroom. The cottage contains an extremely nice dining area with an accessible kitchen. The living room is designed with vintage furniture and comfy chairs with the low beam ceiling that runs through the cottage . The private garden is well maintained and is lovely to sit in

The main bedroom is very small and I felt like the walls were closing in this triggered my claustrophobia .

Great location,quirky and cosy good parking and a lovely garden.

Cottage quite cold in the evening would have preferred an electric fire instead of log fire, but appreciate it is a 400 year old cottage.

Helmsley break, excellent location.

Great location for walking and getting out and about. Facilities in the town are excellent.

More storage and less knick-knacks would be beneficial.

We had an excellent stay - the cottage is lovely, in a beautiful village with several restaurants.

Probably due to covid considerations, but no washing up liquid, or kitchen paper towel roll, etc. A minor thing, but if we had been informed of this, we would have brought those things in order to keep the kitchen tidy. That was our only gripe - and a small one - but everything else was lovely.
