Walk to the beach or the Pointe West Beach Club or relax on the large balcony with an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico the choice will be yours at "Affinity." This condominium is spacious and comfortable for a perfect weekend getaway or a relaxing week at the beach. The unit is comfortable for a couple's vacation or a family vacation. High speed WIFI and HD television is available in this unit.
The large living room looks out towards the Gulf of Mexico and has French doors that lead to a large balcony with plenty of seating for everyone. The couch pulls out to a queen sleeper to accommodate additional guests. The kitchen has full size appliances, dishes, cookware and everything you will need if you decide to cook any meals in during your stay at Pointe West. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a view of the water and access to the large balcony. It has a large private bath and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a full-size bath beside the entrance to the room. The living room couch pulls out to a queen size sleeper for extra quests. There is also a brand-new full size stacked washer dryer to rinse all the sand off your clothes after a day at the beach for your use in this unit.
When you stay in a Bay to Beach Rental Property, all you need to bring is your clothes, beach towels/chairs, sunscreen, food and you! We provide paper towels, toilet paper, large & small trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, fabric softener sheets, hand soap, coffee, coffee filters, shampoo, body wash, and basic spices in each unit.
Pointe West is a gorgeous beach to bay community on the western tip of Galveston Island. The beaches are clean, groomed regularly and closed to vehicular traffic. The main clubhouse has a beautiful infinity edge pool, hot tub, kid’s pool, cabanas, grills, gift shop, workout facility with lockers and a game room. The Sunset Pool on the bayside has a small lazy river, hot tub, fire pit, gas and charcoal grills for the guests use during their stay. Enjoy the pool bar and restaurant, kid's crafts, and live entertainment. (We will send you the activity schedule upon booking your vacation or you can check the Pointe West Beach Club website for times/dates).
Golf carts, kayaks and paddleboards are available for rent from local island vendors. Please ask us we have information on these items and other things you may want to rent when visiting Pointe West.
You are only approximately 30 minutes from downtown Galveston(The Strande), Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier and all the other great attractions of Galveston. Major grocery stores are located 20 minutes away so we recommend guests stop on their way in so they never have to leave their vacation getaway!
WRISTBAND POLICY
The Property Owners Association (POA) at Pointe West collects a wristband fee of $25 per guest for each guest over the age of 4 (children younger than 4 do not pay) for use of the Beach Club and Sunset Pools during your stay at Pointe West. This is a onetime fee during your stay, not a daily fee. No wristbands are required to enjoy the beautiful beaches at Pointe West this fee is only for use of pools, fitness center, and other amenities. A reservation has been made in your name for your rental period at Pointe West. The wristbands are available at the Beach Club reception every day during business hours (9-5 off season, 9-6 peak season). The physical address for the Beach Club is 4161 Pointe West Drive, Galveston, TX. 77554. You do not have to purchase a wristband to enjoy the restaurant/bar at Pointe West. Your reservation will allow you to receive a temporary band to enjoy this business amenity.

FITNESS CENTER, GAME ROOM AND POOLS ARE OPEN YEAR ROUND
THE SUNSET POOL ON THE BAYSIDE OF POINTE WEST IS HEATED FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT YEAR-ROUND. THE BEACH CLUB POOL IS NOT HEATED AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP AN INFINITY POOL WARM. BOTH POOLS HAVE LARGE HOT TUBS FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT.

The condo was just as pictured. It was extremely clean and in a safe, family-friendly location. We enjoyed the large balcony, grass yard underneath for the kids to play, and the Beach Club pool. Bring a wagon to haul your items to the beach, as well as your own chairs. The kids really loved the beach, which was cleaner than expected. This was a very comfortable, nice place to stay. We would love to go back. Only suggestions - consider providing more bed pillows & pillowcases (there are plenty of throw pillows). Also, a pair of scissors and cooking spray for pans (of course guests could always bring their own). I also couldn't find the garbage disposal switch, and a few light bulbs were out. The multiple switches could be labeled to help. Great weekend getaway. Thank you so much!!!

We were messaged prior to our arrival and notified that we could check in early. Condo appeared as shown. Very nice home, clean and well maintained. We loved the location. We had a beautiful beach view. We were within walking distance to the beach and main pool area. We enjoyed the heated pool on the bay for evening swims. Excellent communication with hosts. Our only complaint is that the air conditioning in the master bedroom and bath seemed to be having issues. The air seemed to work fine in the remainder of the condo. We had use a fan to pull cool air into the master so we could sleep comfortably. We requested a late checkout and our hosts kindly approved our request. We also had an issue with the elevator not working on our last day.

Condo was as advertised. We did have a couple of fixable issues with TV and bathroom upon arrival. These were addressed promptly. Beach and pool access was great. The pots and pans were pretty worn, hard to use and clean. Also, the A/C unit is pretty loud. Works great, just not that quiet, an FYI if that might bother you. Overall, a good stay for us!

Condo is lovely, spacious, beds and furniture comfy and great patio. A hike to beach, we drove to both pools. They were really nice too.
Issue which is only reason not a higher rating (just for condo alone would have been a 5 no question) was a maintenance issue that happened early Saturday evening, reply from management team was no maintenance workers on weekend, call plumber yourself or will have maintenance come on Monday, my check out day. I feel as if I learned a valuable lesson, always go with a host Owner, this is my first time to not do that and I see the difference in assistance you receive as a guest.
