Perfect stay along the Eifelsteig

Everything about the stay at Tom’s Gästehaus was fantastic. The room and shared bathroom are clean, comfortable and well-equipped with practical and thoughtful touches - for example charging cables for various devices and a wide range of toiletries, which is great for hikers travelling with lighter packs. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about nearby trails. Highly recommend and would be happy to return again!

Perfect place, hikers paradise

Very clean, very clear and organized. Fully stocked with a small fridge for a cold drink. Also many possibilities for a new toothbrush or ladies things. Wide range of shower gels etc. Love the electronic lock with your own personal code! Highly recommend Tom’s and will stay again when in the area! Grtz Johan

Friendly stay close to nature

Very clean and welcoming guesthouse. Getting in was easy and helpful information is placed at the guests' disposal. My one night stay was very good, but I think it must be even better for people staying longer.

Nothing really, having your own bathroom would be great, but that's neither an option nor a real problem.

Simply the best, curated in EVERY detail. And I mean it, everything was perfect, I’m looking forward to go back to Toms asap, best guesthouse i’ve experienced so far.

Tom is a very friendly person, and gave us a warm welcome. The house has everything you wish for, and in case you forgot anything during your packing, basic needs (and more...) are to be found in the house. We also played card games we borrowed from the house :)

Unfortunately no breakfast is offerred at this place. If i had to improve something, i would reduce the amount of instructions around the house.

Most friendly host, welcomes you at the door with a grand tour. Bedroom has anything you can think of, from a phone charger with 3 different usbpieces to books and magazines, bathroom has a variety of shower supplies and kitchen is properly equiped if you want to cook your own food. They have a minifridge, post card standard (with stamps!) and a wall full of info folders about the region. Best of all, if you are open to hiking suggestions, let Tom take a look at your planned hike for some good alterations!!! Host as well as the accomodation have been the best I have seen so far traveling around (even at a 5 star all inclusive you wouldn't get this kind of service)!

Since the big flood a few restaurants have closed and not opened up yet, so you either have to make a walk up to Gemünd (about half an hour) or get your groceries in front to cook at the accomodation. So... Absolutely nothing negative about the accomodation itself, only about the few restaurants surrounding it.

Recently, our couple visited a very cozy guest house at Thomas's. We were pleasantly surprised by the little things that the owner thought of! We felt at home! We were lucky to meet Thomas, he is a very pleasant and attentive person) Since I am from Ukraine and now there is such a difficult situation in my country Thomas allowed us to stay a little longer, we are very grateful to him for this gesture!) A great place to feel at home or stay while traveling somewhere! Thank you very much for your hospitality!

I had a lovely and relaxing night here.

The room and bathroom are pretty big and clean! And I really love that they have all kinds of toiletries prepared, especially the hair conditioner! Also, Wi-Fi is stable everywhere at the guesthouse all the time.

Cosy place, personal touch

The personal touch. Thomas really likes to talk with his guests. He was very sorry he was not around the first night, but he made sure all was perfect organised. The location was easy to find (up hill). Thomas has a lot of information about the area, and books and maps for walks and hikes. The bathroom was super clean and very well equiped with all you could need. Everywhere clear instructions for use and how to leave the place. You share both kitchen and bathroom (with Thomas and with other guests)

The people in the other room needed a lot of time in the bathroom, so the first morning we were waiting quite long before we could go to the wc. Parking in the street was ok, but we were a bit nervous about the big tractors Thomas warned us about :D

Viel Liebe zum Detail

Tom ist ein super netter, sehr verbindlicher Gastgeber. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war nett, prompt und sehr hilfreich. Das Zimmer ist mit viel Blick fürs Detail und vielen kleinen Nettigkeiten ausgestattet (Wasser, Tee, Kaffee, Wasserkocher, kleiner Bluetooth-Lautsprecher, Ladekabel mit verschiedensten Anschlüssen, sogar kleine Ohrstöpsel für den ruhigeren Schlaf, wenn man es braucht, und und und). Es werden Pantoffel und auch Leihregenschirme bereitgestellt. Dass das Bad von den 3 Zimmern gemeinsam genutzt wird, hatte ich bei der Buchung zwar übersehen, es war aber kein Problem (kennen wir tw. aus Schottlandurlauben mit B&B). Dafür stehen im Bad für Gäste, die mit Rucksack/auf dem Rad und daher mit leichtem Gepäck unterwegs sind, verschiedenste Drogerie- und Hygieneartikel (größtenteils von Alverde) zur Verfügung. Ein wirklich aufmerksamer und keinesfalls selbstverständlicher Service. FRÜHSTÜCK: Toms Tipp, im 2 km entfernten Hotel Etappenziel frühstücken zu gehen, war top - sollte man unbedingt machen. Wir kommen gern wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in der Eifel sind.

la chambre était propre, la salle de bain était propre aussi et ce que j'ai trouvé super c'est que la salle de bain est complètement équipée, il y a gel douche, déodorant, shampoing, brosse à dent, chouchou, tampons (plusieurs tailles différentes), serviettes hygiéniques (plusieurs tailles différentes), protège slip bref l'hôte a pensé à tout et tout le monde

Zeer vriendelijk onthaal en een accomodatie waar alles gedaan wordt om de gasten te gerieven

Ik vond het fijn Thomas bij aankomst te ontmoeten. Hij zorgde er ook voor dat ik mijn electrische fiets kon opladen (stekkerdoos). De kamer bevond zich op de eerste verdieping en was gemakkelijk bereikbaar. Sanitaire voorzieningen zijn gemeenschappelijk en kraakhelder (zelfs shampoo was voorzien). Mijn naam stond op deur en in de kamer stond niet alleen een gewone stoel aan de tafel, maar ook een gemakkelijke zetel. Er was zelfs een radiootje en - belangrijk bij deze hittegolf - een ventilator. Wifi werkte goed. Allerlei boeken en infobrochures (zelfs in het Nederlands!) en kaarten over de omgeving zijn aanwezig. Mogelijkheid drank te kopen uit de ijskast, tegen redelijke prijs. Alles wordt gedaan om een zo fijn mogelijk verblijf te verzekeren.

Als je wat aankopen voor het ontbijt hebt gedaan, zou het fijn zijn een klein plaatsje in de ijskast te mogen gebruiken (voor de boter en het beleg bijv).
