Everything about this hotel is amazing. From the minute you enter the gates and meet the owner you can just tell what an amazing experience awaits you. He has put so much of his heart and soul into this small hotel and his love for his surroundings is very plain to see. Norberto showed us around and explained all the areas of the hotel and how everything worked. There is an amazing outdoor space complete with swimming pool which sadly we were unable to use due to the time of year. Our room was just perfect with a lot of style but not over fussy. The bed was big and sooo comfortable and the bed linens were of a very high quality. It was also lovely to have really big luxurious bath sheets. The bathroom itself was a really good size and the shower was powerful with no long wait for hot water. There was a proper hairdryer in the bathroom which was useful.
Breakfast is served to you ( not a buffet) and it was beautifully presented and the waitress was quiet and discreet but always on hand and she knew just when to be there and when not. Breakfast was egg, bacon and sausage (the eggs were from the hens next door), followed by soft cheese and home made jams, fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, toast and croissant with fresh orange juice and coffee or tea ( refills available).
Norberto gave us suggestions for our evening meal and we took his advice and went to an amazing little restaurant called Taberna do Chefe only a few minutes drive away or maybe a 10-15 minute walk. .
We had booked the hotel as we were going to a concert at the Multiusos Complex in Gondomar which was only a ten minute walk away.
The hotel is an oasis of peace and quiet and a beautiful place to unwind.
It is only a 10-15 minute drive from Porto so an ideal place to stay to explore the busy city and return to to just relax at the end of the day.
We will certainly be back - hopefully when we can make use of the pool!
There was nothing not to like other than the fact that we were only there for one night and it was too cold to use the swimming pool!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay – everything was perfect. Norberto goes above and beyond for his guests, from the warm welcome and tour of the property to the delicious garden-fresh breakfast and the super-comfortable beds. The peaceful farm setting and his adorable little pinscher Gaudi, who loves to tag along and cuddle, made our stay truly unforgettable.

Norberto has created the most fabulous space to relax and unwind away from the busy streets of Porto! Clean, comfortable and beautifully designed with everything you need. Breakfast is a real treat, a feast of fresh local produce including home made jam and delicious home grown tomatoes - all whilst watching the rabbits play chase in the garden! We will certainly return!

Goldnature is a beautiful oasis very close to the city. You do need a car, but if you have one, we highly recommend staying here.
We stayed as a family of 4 and had a wonderful time. The host, Norberto, and his staff were very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, the snacks available to purchase during the day (ice cream, Sandwiches, etc) were also of amazing quality and tasty!
Norberto also recommended an amazing local restaurant and is a good source of information and recommendations about the area.
The property itself is incredibly charming- an old farmhouse beautifully restored and very modern and clean. There is a lovely garden with a few chickens, free roaming rabbits and hammocks to chill in. Cozy seating areas overgrown with vines adding to the nice atmosphere.
The pool was fantastic for our kids and also very clean.
Our room was comfortable and spacious enough, with a little extra space for the kids beds that could be closed off with a sliding door. The room and bathroom were both very nice and clean. The air conditioning was appreciated, although it was not too hot, we could have managed without it. The old wooden shutters were also a nice touch combining the old and new of the property. Overall we really enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return if we come back to Porto! Thank you!
