This 4-bedroom, 2-bath oceanfront cottage offers a blend of nostalgic beach charm and modern comforts, creating the perfect setting for your ultimate beach getaway. Named for its easygoing, welcoming vibe, Sweet Carolina is all about creating sun-soaked memories, whether lounging on the deck, walking your dog on the sand, or watching the sun dip below the horizon.
Step outside to your own private paradise. A large 14x28 saltwater pool with tanning ledge and a shaded cabana under the dune walkway invite you to relax in style. Newly added privacy louvers along the pool and deck create a completely secluded retreat, fully separated from the public walkway. For even more outdoor fun, enjoy two sets of bar-height tables and chairs, a large covered deck strung with café lights, and a dog wash hose on the boardwalk—perfect for rinsing sandy paws after beach walks. A new walkway to the dunes (2025) makes it even easier to reach the sand, so you can go from deck to beach in seconds.
Inside, the home is designed for comfort and togetherness. Inside, you'll find four beautifully appointed bedrooms designed for comfort and relaxation:
Master Bedroom – Features a king-size bed and a TV for winding down after a day at the beach.
Two Guest Rooms – Each equipped with a queen-size bed and a TV for added convenience.
Bunk Room – Perfect for kids or extra guests, this room includes a bunk bed and a full-size bed, along with a TV for entertainment.
The home has Jack and Jill bathrooms shared between two rooms, making it easy for everyone to freshen up after a beach day. Stay connected with high-speed internet, and enjoy movie nights in the family room with a large TV. Every TV in the house is equipped with ROKU for streaming, so you can watch your favorite shows with ease.

We really enjoyed our stay in Holden. We have stayed at neighboring beaches, but this was first time at Holden. Holden was quiet and lots of families. good to beach to play all day and cook at home. House was about 5 miles down the island, which we liked. Seemed quieter. House was clean and all the space we needed, bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Having laundry was great. The house is older and bathrooms reflect this, but they are clean. There was no toilet paper at all and towels do not come with rental so make sure you bring all you need. Sheets are in bags and need to be put on beds, but that was not a big deal. House was on the beach with a long walk way. I gave the house 4 stars because walkway is really weathered and difficult to walk on. The boards splinter, are loose and warped and we had someone trip and fall the first day. Once you get off the walkway, you walk on a trail of sand to the beach and its over grown with stickers so we kept shoes on. The home does have access to the walkway next to the home, which is maintained if you want to avoid the walkway altogether, but it's nice coming right into the back porch. Rental company was very attentive and checki n and check out was quick. We'd rent this house again.
