Comfy stay for a large family

This was our second time here - the amount of beds fit perfectly for our family. The house is nice, in local archi style, there are 3 bedrooms w 5 beds, living room, wonderful dining room and a large kitchen; there is also an outside seating connected to the other part of the house (westwind 2). Location is good enough, not too close to the beach but not too far either (15mins walk), close to the centre of prerow, close to the supermarket and bike rentals. You can find most of what you need in the kitchen.

Just like last year, the staff speaks no English:) I guess it is not too surprising considering that the guests are rarely from abroad. However, it sometimes gets a bit tough when trying to solve some issues. Our bed was not made upon arrival - fortunately, we found some spare sheets in the wardrobe, so it was fine. Both bathrooms only have two rolls of toilet paper - I remember this was an issue last year already. We decided to buy our own, I guess there is room service that could be called in also to change the towels, but it was easier than struggling with the language barrier. Maybe it could be solved with leaving more than just two rolls, especially for longer stays? At times there were problems with wifi and the TV wouldnt connect in the rooms upstairs, but it was not a major issue. However, the overall impression was still good and we will be coming back if possible. :)

Great stay for good money

The place is very clean, neat, the kitchen has all the utensils you can imagine. There are clean sheets and towels ready, the bed is super comfy and the house overall feels very cosy, even though it is quite austere. The location is cool, the nearest big shop is about 7mins away, and the beach is a 20 min walk away. There is parking available at the spot and our dog was welcome for a very reasonable price. There is a small garden available - due to the weather, we didnt use it too much. We enjoyed our stay!

Nobody in the firm that owns the place speaks English. I tried emailing them about bringing a dog in advance, got no response. Then I got two generic emails in German, and again no reply afterwards. Even on the day of our arrival, nobody would pick up the phone, reply to my messages here on Booking or emails - I actually google translated them to german just so I would get any answer whatsover. After noon on arrival day, they finally picked up to our German-speaking friends so that we got the information. This was very uncomfortable and stressful. Also, it would be great if there was a proper fence - the neighboring guesthouse is right by the border of the property, so sitting in the garden we were kind ouf bound to interact with the guests over there, this was rather unpleasant. The bypassing cyclists or tourists were fine, but as soon as there are people actually standing at the gate and staring into your plate, it destroys the sense of privacy. The booking was a bit pricey. As we were leaving, it got pretty cold outside and inside - we were wondering what apart from blankets would save us from the cold as we saw no heating, but hopefully they are gonna resolve this by the time winter comes.

Schönes Haus mit Service- und Sauberkeitsmänglen.

Schön renoviertes Häuschen in lokalem Baustil, ordentlich eingerichtet, modern, auch die Bäder, Küche ganz gut ausgestattet. Außenanlagen an sich ganz schön angelegt.

Keine Reaktion auf Reklamationen per Telefonat und Email innerhalb von 5 Tagen (kaputter Esszimmer-Stuhl wurde nicht repariert, keine Rückmeldung bezüglich fehlendem Schlüssel für abschließbare Fenstertüre im Schlafzimmer im EG, direktes Lüften daher nicht möglich). Garten ungepflegt (Unkraut, Rasen seit Wochen nicht gemäht, Gartenmöbel sichtlich seit längerem nicht geputzt). Sauna-Vorraum nicht geputzt (auch nicht nach Auszug der Feriengäste aus der anderen Doppelhaushälfe). Dafür soll das Haus vor der Abreise besenrein hinterlassen werden, die Betten abgezogen und die schmutzige Bettwäsche samt den benutzten Handtüchern in einem Kissenbezug gesammelt werden… so etwas kenne ich bisher nur aus Jugendherbergen. Da passen die Ansprüche nicht zusammen…

Eine solide und gute Unterkunft, gute Lage, mit leichtem Potenzial nach oben.

Grundsätzlich ist die Unterkunft gut ausgestattet und der Weg bis zum Strand ist in Ordnung. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ebenfalls in der Nähe.

Die Sauberkeit war nicht so optimal. Wenn das Sofa verrückt wurde kamen einen Flusen entgegen. Am Esstisch war an der Seite noch Schokocreme der Vorbenutzer. Spinnweben an der Decke.
