About this apartment rental
Phoenix East unit 303 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Gulf front Condo located on the 3rd floor. The unit has tile floors throughout and many other recent updates. Relax on the private balcony and take in the beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico and Perdido Pass. The master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV and private bathroom. The guest room has two queen beds, flat screen TV and private bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you should need with beautiful new granite counter tops.
There is a full size washer and dryer in the hall closet. The living room has a queen memory foam sofa sleeper and flat screen TV.
There are beach chairs, tennis rackets, small cooler and a beach buggy available for guest use in the outside closet.
The Phoenix East is a low density complex that features a large outdoor pool, indoor pool, and splash pad for the little ones. Other wonderful amenities include BBQ grill area with picnic tables, hot tubs, indoor racquetball, lighted tennis courts, sauna, exercise room, and a basketball court.
Phoenix East requires that parking passes be purchased at the front desk.

I will start this with the majority of my complaints were with the property and not the condo itself. The condo was exactly as described and lovely, minus the king bed being a sleep number bed which feels like a fancy air mattress.
The check in process and purchasing a parking pass was a mess, the front desk staff were helpful but continually commented on how the instructions I was given to purchase the pass were not correct. The property has 3 elevators for all the units - only one of the elevators was working the majority of our stay. This made getting the wagon and ice chest downstairs very time consuming and difficult.
The property is dated and needs some maintenance. There was standing water on the walkways the entire stay (this was due to a leak not rain). The splash pad did not work for the majority of our stay which was unfortunate because our youngest was looking forward to it.
The pool and outdoor amenities were crowded. We previously have stayed at a smaller property in Gulf Shores. This trip solidified that we prefer Gulf Shores and smaller properties. The pool closes at 11pm, which is fine except people were screaming and being rowdy well after 11.
Overall, the interior of the condo was great and exactly as described. The overall property was lacking and very disappointing.
