Schönes Zimmer mit Schiebetüren und Sichtschutz im Ryokan Stil. Weniger touristische, schöne Lage, sehr nettes Personal, morgendlicher Kaffee oder Saft inklusive. Günstiger Waschsalon nebenan.

Wegen des Waschsalons wackelt manchmal der Boden im Zimmer :)

We loved our stay at Sheena & Ippei. The Japanese styled room is so charming!! Sachiko san was a great host and provided us very good restaurant recommendations, and greeted us every morning with coffee and sweets. The neighbourhood isn't super close to the typical tourist attractions, but it is super convenient to get everywhere from Ikebukuro, and we loved Shiinamachi's calm atmosphere and got to experience the calm, authentic, non-touristy version of Tokyo, which we wouldn't have experienced otherwise. Another plus is that there are several great sentos within a few minutes of walk!! We got to properly relax our muscles after a long day of exploring the city.

Met with a warm welcome from the best hosts with enormous hearts and great recommendations in the area. This is a calm neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops and an easy stroll to the trains. The space has a cozy atmosphere, a little bakery downstairs, great shower, and comfy traditional beds. We hope to return soon!

Lovely small guesthouse/hostel. Excellent location, only a few minutes walk to a Shiinamachi Station metro station, which is one stop from Ikebukuro Station, which then has transport across the city. We started and ended our trip in Tokyo and the owner was incredibly friendly when we first arrived, and even more so when we came back.
