Casa da Ana Boutique Guest House

Our stay at Casa da Ana was pleasant! The location is fantastic - easily walkable to food, historic sites, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. They helped us book an in-room massage, which was a relief after walking several days on the Camino Santiago. Breakfast was fresh and delish - I loved eating at the counter looking outside into the courtyard w a fountain.

We booked a specific room on Booking.com and were given a different room. Our room was very clean so no complaints about the quality of the stay but the room we reserved was charming, with medieval stone walls and a balcony view of the courtyard. We didn't ask to be moved because I saw others were already in "our" room and I also didn't know if it was an issue with Booking.com or with the place itself. Furthermore, they were so accommodating with our later arrival and massage appointment that I chose to be content. We chose this lodging specifically for that room so I was disappointed even though we still enjoyed our stay. If a specific room is important to you, perhaps confirm it the day before?

Large room, very clean, comfortable bed, friendly service, great breakfast, great location

I had the attic room, unfortunately there was nowhere in the room — except the bathroom— where I could actually stand up straight because of the ceiling incline, I discovered how uncomfortable and painful it is to the back not to be able to stand up straight the entire time you are in a room. There was a beautiful additional little sitting area but I had to crawl there and and could not stand. If this is indicated in the room description I didn’t see it; if it isn’t, it should be, to allow for an informed choice). The second issue for me is that there is only a thin white blind on the very large ceiling window, from early on the light woke me up too early. The very popular cafe/open air restaurant next door also makes for quite lively area till late (perhaps especially because it was a Saturday night), this is a mixed blessing for a too early rise. The ceiling issue surely only affects this room, I can imagine the stay in another room in the property would have been excellent without qualifications).

Beautiful and relaxing place! Everything close by, helpful staff, even on Sunday did our laundry!
