About this cottage rental
Lovely craftsman-built log home with modern amenities on 50 acres. Private 10 x 32' covered rear deck overlooking beautiful woodland views. Property has marked walking trails and the Appalachian Trail is within 1/2 mile. Local ski resorts (Otis Ridge, Butternut and Jiminy Peak) are close by and many arts and culture venues (Jacob's Pillow, Tanglewood, etc.) are within a short drive. The towns of Lenox, Lee, Great Barrington and Stockbridge provide great shopping and restaurants. This property is perfect for couples or families. It is an outdoor paradise perfect for hiking and snowshoeing. Dogs welcome!
*CLEANING PRACTICES*:
Contactless entry and exit. In-between each stay, we thoroughly clean all surfaces. We use sanitizing agents in the laundry to ensure the cleanest bedding and towels. We block time before and after every visit to ensure the property cleaned prior to future bookings.
While the cottage sleeps 8 guest, it is better suited for families with children. It is not a giant cabin and 8 full grown adults would not be comfortable. To make pricing affordable for smaller groups, the cabin is priced for 4 people. Additional guests (regardless of age) are an extra 25$ per guest, per night.
Large groups of guest (like weddings or reunions) are not allowed. The design of the septic and structure discourages the property to be used in that capacity without the possibility of incurring damage to the structure and the limiting of the use for future guests. Any day guest or night guest must be registered with the owners prior to the stay.

This cabin was just as advertised and reviewed and perfect for our needs. It is very clean, well stocked and comfortable. We were visiting our recent college graduate who works at Jacob’s Pillow, and the location was especially perfect for that. It was so close that we saw her much more than we anticipated because she could pop over between shows. It’s also centrally located to visit many Berkshire attractions. Highlights this trip included a day spent renting a pontoon boat and tooling around Lake Onota, several Guilded Age mansion tours and (a real highlight - highly recommend) the Clark Institute of Art in Williamstown. And of course three fabulous dance shows at Jacob’s Pillow! One (pleasant) surprise in the house was the basement with another TV and foosball table - I hadn’t noticed that from the listing or other reviews. Lots of room to spread out if you have a bigger crowd than we did. If our daughter spends a third summer at the Pillow, we will definitely hope to rent this great cabin again.

This is my second time renting this wonderful cabin. The hosts have created such a warm, inviting and comfortable space. My family and I enjoyed an incredibly relaxing stay in the cabin and its picturesque surroundings. I plan to spend my upcoming visits to Western Massachusetts at this lovely property.

We (couple + dog) enjoyed our stay at the Woodland Cottage. Set on a secluded gravel road in Otis, this cottage feels immersed in the natural surroundings and offers a private retreat that's still within a reasonable drive of all that the Berkshires has to offer. As the cabin is newer, it has many modern touches that make it a very relaxing place to stay.

This is our 3rd time staying at the cabin! It is the most perfect cabin in the woods. The cabin is stocked with anything you could need for your vacation AND the house has walking trails right out the door. This is the most perfect vacation house.. Shhhh.. Only tell your most deserving friends and family because this place is truly magical. Can't wait to come back next year.
