OYO 588 Sunrock Resort

I stayed here mainly because of its convenient location, but unfortunately the experience was very difficult. The place has cats and other animals around the entrance, which makes entering and exiting uncomfortable. The rooms also had cockroaches and lizards. The property clearly needs renovation and better maintenance. One room had no bathroom mirror, another had a broken toilet seat and shower tap, and basic items like tissues and towels had to be requested. Overall, I would not recommend this place unless you have absolutely no other accommodation option.

❌ DO NOT RECOMMEND Sunrock Resort — Full Honest Review We are extremely disappointed with our stay here. We booked through Agoda, and NONE of these mandatory fees were disclosed anywhere in their booking policies: - ❌ Mandatory Day + Night pool fees — charged EVEN IF YOU DON’T SWIM, because it’s a "public pool." We booked for 2 nights so we were forced to pay for both sessions every day. - ❌ They charged us TWICE in one morning — we already paid our child’s day + night pool fees for the previous day, but when our child wanted to swim for just 2 hours before checkout, they surprised us with another full pool fee charge! - ❌ No discount for kids — even when swimming for only 2 hours, we still paid full pool price. - ❌ Extra person fee for every child - ❌ Required mattress fee per child If we had known about these mandatory fees upfront, we would NEVER have booked here. We only chose this resort because of a power outage/brownout in our area — we just wanted a nearby place to rest. Instead, we got nothing but stress. More issues we encountered: - 📺 TV was not working — no entertainment at all - 🚽 CR/bathroom is way too small — very difficult to take a shower - 🛌 Folding bed/mattress was broken — our child couldn’t even use it - We booked for 2 nights and requested early check-in, but we only stayed 1 night and checked out early in the morning — such a waste of booking with all these issues We would have gladly paid more for a proper hotel if we knew this would be our experience.
