Rahmat guesthouse

Friendly guesthouse on the edge of the pedestriansed old town, with short walk to main attractions. Room was pleasant, beds comfortable and breakfasts large and tasty. Attractive old building with lovely courtyard. Room had balcony with attractive views. Owners very helpful and allowed luggage to be left before and after stay with no problem.

Excellent location inside the old city. All major tourist attractions can be reached by foot in 15 minutes. Breakfast is served like to family guests instead of customers.

There is no elevator in the hotel. I had to carry my big luggage upstairs.

It's a cosy family run guesthouse with good location run by an elderly couple, Iskandar and Gulnoz. They speak limited English but do their best to make you feel at home. The room was simple but comfortable and had everything required. There was a decent spread for breakfast with egg, pastries, fruits and nuts and a choice of coffee or tea. Drinking water is available from the small faucet at the kitchen sink at no additional charge. I informed the guesthouse in advance that I would be arriving at Bukhara station in Kogon at around 12.45 a.m. and that I planned to get a Yandex taxi to the guesthouse. Iskandar informed in advance to let him give directions to the driver over the phone (which he did) and was there to receive me and show me around when I arrived at the guesthouse. The guesthouse is walking distance to the places of interest and eateries (the first historical buildings are just outside!).
