Villa Caterina

Villa Caterina is an elegant and beautiful home. The Villa was so well appointed with everything you needed, especially the kitchen. The thoughtful little extras such as coffee, tea, biscuits and laundry and toiletries were much appreciated. The front path down to the mini markt, buses and coffee and pizza was very handy.

The only disappointment was that the public lido that was a short distance away is no longer there or is closed for renovations and the Cadenabbia ferry terminal was closed for part of the time (now has reopened). We didn’t have a car so had to rely on the buses, Ubers and taxis during peak season weren’t too plentiful.

This was a stand alone property - not a hotel, so no breakfast provided, but the owner did provide a nice snack and a huge bottle of champagne which was quite a nice thing to do. There is a nice market just a few minutes walk away, nice bar and restaurants also easily walkable from the Villa, and also very close to the Ferry to Bellagio and every other port on the lake. This property is a neighbor to the famous Villa former German Chancellor Konrad Adenour summered in numerous times during his term and after and gives you an inkling as to what a fine neighborhood and property this Villa is -- world class.

We have stayed here before and it was just as lovely as last time and we would stay here again witout hesitation; this is just one of the finest properties one could hope to find at an incredible destination to be able to travel to.

1/Location is great! Just 80 m to the lake; 2/ Local supermarket is in 50 m; 3/ Very nice design of villa: smart integration of different styles; 4/ Very clean and cosy; 5/ Lovely hostess!!!
