A happy return to a magnificent villa on beautiful Lake Como in Cadenabbia.
This was a stand alone property - not a hotel, so no breakfast provided, but the owner did provide a nice snack and a huge bottle of champagne which was quite a nice thing to do. There is a nice market just a few minutes walk away, nice bar and restaurants also easily walkable from the Villa, and also very close to the Ferry to Bellagio and every other port on the lake. This property is a neighbor to the famous Villa former German Chancellor Konrad Adenour summered in numerous times during his term and after and gives you an inkling as to what a fine neighborhood and property this Villa is -- world class.
We have stayed here before and it was just as lovely as last time and we would stay here again witout hesitation; this is just one of the finest properties one could hope to find at an incredible destination to be able to travel to.

Simply amazing, highly recommend it!
Starting with the location, the villa is located near the Cadenabbia ferry station (5-7 min walk), which has direct connection to Bellagio and Varenna. This meant we can get around without using the car. That said, the villa has parking space for 2 cars (we only came with one). The villa itself is amazing - classic style, newly renovated, clean and well equipped, cozy and comfortable. Two of the 3 bedrooms have their own bathrooms. There is also an office with an extendable sofa, if you need another bed. The kitchen is equipped for everything you need if you decide to stay in and cook.

Villa is very well maintained and equipment by the owner. Fully renovated beautiful bathrooms, charming bedrooms and beautiful terrace and the garden. We stayed there as 2 families and our kids absolutely loved playing in the garden. The town Griante is well connected to other towns of the Lake, there is ferry every 30 mins to Bellagio and then from there you can get to Varenna and Menaggio. Also you can catch the bus which takes you around along west side of the lake. All pre-arrival communication was exceptional, Simona supported us on all the queries we had and helped to organise the transfers and answered all the question. Owner Maria met us at the property when we arrived to give us keys and shared all the information about the area.

Given the chance I could live there permanently. So good!
The house was truely amazing with beautiful views, close to ferry services, and lake area. Great for a family stay as it had huge rooms, good living and eating areas. Also had outdoor areas to sit and have coffees in the morning or wine and dinner at night. If you want somewhere quiet to stay on the lake, but close to the tourist villages, this is the place. Highly recommended.
For such a big house, unfortunately the electricity kept cutting out! Was fixed pretty quickly each time but a little inconvenient! Beautiful gardens spoilt by lawns not being mowed. Looked rather untidy!

Simona waited for us at the house at the agreed time and gave a great introduction to the house.
The building project in front of the house woke us up between 7-8am every morning.
