Sort out bed and shower and this would be almost perfect.

Hot water temperamental, ok washing your teeth, washing up in the kitchen. But shower even on the lowest pressure only Luke warm. Small bedroom bed only fit for a child

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this cozy cottage. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The space was warm, charming, and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful little touches that made our stay extra special. The cottage was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable night away. We would absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful, charming getaway

2 great pubs with good food within walking distance

A half used toilet roll was all that was provided and no replacements anywhere so we ran out. No kindling provided for the log burner and it was needed as it never got warm in the cottage. The sofa bed mattress is appalling, it felt like lying on a bed of rocks with paper over the top. Lots of road noise.

Gorgeous cottage perfect for our family to have a home away from home for the night. Lovely log burner and cosy lounge, spotlessly clean and good amenities. Close to two pubs and a neighbouring town for shops and restaurants. Just 20 mins from Durham.

Internet kept dropping so streaming tv was painful.

Cosy winter break

Great welcome by Clare and loved how she'd decorated the cottage for our pre Christmas break. Lots of little extras and loved the brie and cheese biscuits! The Log burner and logs supplied made it so cosy. Perfect location for exploring Durham and Beamish.

Worth noting that you need to run the hot water slowly to keep it hot then you can have a hot bath not cold!

A great stay in a lovely property with friendly and helpful hosts.

A really lovely property, nicely decorated and with lots of homely touches. It was very comfortable and cosy and it had everything we needed. The Visitors Book was a nice touch and there was plenty of information regarding the property and things to do in the surrounding area. The hosts were very communicative prior to arrival and available throughout our stay for anything we needed. The location suited us well for walks and for Durham.

I hadn't appreciated that the property was on a fairly busy road. It caused absolutely no problems, but if you want the bedroom window open at night there's a reasonable amount of traffic noise.

A little gem

This is a little gem. Beautifully appointed with everything you could want for a stay. Lovely log burner that was hot in minutes, comfy sofa and good sized kitchen. There was seating space outside but we were there early March so a little cold to do that but you could spend a v pleasant evening there. Dan met us at the cottage and was very friendly. Cathy kept us well informed via messages. Excellent value incl a wonderful little treat on the breakfast table when we arrived. Thankyou!

The owner met us and was welcoming and polite, really made us feel relaxed. The property was spotless, very comfortable and had everything needed. Had the best nights sleep I have had in a long time, refreshing power shower in the morning, coffee outside in the peaceful surroundings and got in my car directly outside door. perfect stay ....Many Thanks

Lovely cottage

Cosy and pleasant cottage with Netflix, wood burning stove and fully functional kitchen

Dead plants and unkempt yard/out door sitting area, I would not sit in my own garden if it was like this and as the yard was advertised as a feature with fire pit and BBQ then this should be ready for guests to use, we didn't use it because it would have all needed a good day spent cleaning and making it pleasant and clean enough to be comfortable. Would suggest not having any plants if not able to maintain them and to brush up the garden before guests arrive

Cathy was so accommodating, everything was so comfortable, good pub very close and lots of extra amenities in the house like a fire pit and outdoor seating. Sleeps four very comfortably.

A pleasant rural cottage.

Full kitchen, washer/dryer, TV with Netflix, some nice touches on arrival such as milk and eggs in the fridge, and cheese and crackers. The main bedroom has splendid country views.

The location is on a busy semi-rural road. Parking (on the footpath out the front) can be tricky at busy times. The second bedroom is a bit squeezy for an adult.
