About this villa rental
Villa Lavanda is a lovely semi-detached villa with private pool. It consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen and a spacious landscaped outdoor area which, in addition to the large swimming pool, has two terraces, a forward overlooking the pool and the rear terrace where we will find the barbecue area.
This villa rental in Menorca is equipped besides with central air conditioning, WiFi, safe, Radio-CD compatible for iPod and private parking.
The rooms are composed on the one part of a master bedroom suite with double bed and direct access to the terrace. Moreover, the other two rooms are made up of two double bedrooms and have a family bathroom. All rooms have a fitted wardrobe to enjoy amplitude.
The kitchen is fully equipped with vitroceramic, refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and utensils. It has direct access to the rear terrace of the villa, where the barbecue is, table and chairs to enjoy outdoor meals.
The villa for rent is equipped with a washing machine, clothesline, iron and post for clothes.
Although they are totally independent, Villa Lavanda is twin sister of Villa Magnolia, since they are almost identical and are next to each other. It is ideal for two families or a large group of friends, offering proximity from each other, but while keeping the intimacy and privacy of your own villa.
All bedding and a set of bath towels per person is included in the price. A change of all used towels on weekdays is provided and sheets are changed every 7 days and cleaning is done.

The area
The resort of Cala Galdana is one of the most popular and prestigious in Menorca. This is due to its beautiful beach that is surrounded by cliffs that border and protect it from the wind, its fine white sand and crystal clear waters. Its shell shape makes it a true paradise. Cala Galdana is a beach that has all the necessary services such as Baywatch, sunbeds, boat rentals, restaurants and more. The beach is ideal for young children who are learning to swim, as the sea does not cover in the first 50 meters.
The complex is very safe and it has a quiet family atmosphere. In its shopping area there are many shops, restaurants, supermarkets, bars, water sports and leisure as boat rental, car, kayaking, horseback riding, cycling etc.
Cala Galdana is surrounded by a natural environment, ideal for walking, for example through the Barranc d’Algendar or walk through the Cami de Cavalls to Cala Mitjana (15min walk), to Trebaluger (45 min) that is a lovely and unspoiled beach or the well knowed Cala Macarella (35min walk).
A few minutes from the Villa there is a bus stop, which offers a good service during the summer and reaches all Menorca’s villages. So the rental car is not essential, but always advisable on an island like Menorca where there is a lot to see and especially if you want to access more easily to different places and overall to unspoiled beaches.

The pool area and outdoor space is fantastic. More spacious than it looks on the pictures. The view from the pool is also stunning. Our children loved playing in the pool and were very impressed by the floats and pool toys that were provided. The villa is generally very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the complimentary treats on arrival. We really enjoyed our break.
Although this is not something that could be changed the villa is up quite a hill which can be a challenge on very hot days.

The villa is in a fantastic location with private parking which was a must as the road was clearly a popular parking spot for the beach!
Even though there were neighbours next door the villa felt very secluded and the pool was fantastic (with a friendly pool man who came a number of times).
There was a washing machine and drying line which was excellent too.
Joan at Sonne Villas was very attentive and answered all my questions quickly.
Really good value for money.
Some aspects of the villa are a little dated - for example the fridge and some utensils could do with replacing and some of the locks on doors. It would be better if during two weeks there had been a little more cleaning - particularly round the pool area as there was a lot of debris post a storm. Change of bedding a bit more often would be nice too.
